There are certain fighters that just cannot help but be in dramatic fights. Andy Lee is a prime example. Carl Froch is another one. Amir Khan also, but more so for the wrong side of the drama.

Then you have the likes of Calzaghe, nearly 50 fights, one of Britains greatest ever fighters, yet i cannot think of any really dramatic moments in his entire career. Many good nights, be no real major dramatic momdnts i can think of. Was he just too good for the competition, or, did he not face the right competition at the right time?

Only drama for joe that springs to mind is getting dropped by the American dude, getting up then dropping him seconds later

Damn right, the Mitchell fight was high drama for a minute or so.

Yes, agreed, deserves a mention, but it is easily trumped by each of those on the poll list IMO.

i actually think aj vs klit for me,some big ups and downs in that,

first wlad goes down and crowd goes wild for aj to get the kill, but then almost immediately ajs getting beaten around, and then it looked like the aj train was gonna get derailed hard...the man seemed gone and totally without energy in that 6th. then aj turns it around

great fight, wild fight at times, easily one of the best hw title fights

:TU:

Listened to it on the radio. Can still find it on YouTube, fivelive did a great job on that fight.

:TU: proper spine tingling, Costello is pretty good for bringing the big drama show. Sometimes the fight he's describing even merits it.

Jackson-Graham, for the one punch turnaround.

Froch-Taylor, for the come from apparently way behind punch avalanche that ended with Taylor squatting down head between knees.

The above are great shouts.

As is Froch-Groves 1.

Lewis v Klitschko was a hugely dramatic stoppage by TKO and an all time great slugfest between behemoths.

As far as HW fights, yes that was an edge of the seat fight swinging from one to the other. Both guys putting in career best performances, and given the lacklustre division leading up to it, it got every boxing fan reignited about the big guys again.
