About the card:

Joshua vs Povetkin - Not the fight we wanted but still a decent fight. Top 5 opponent.
Campbell vs Mendy - Makes sense. Rematch that probably puts the winner in line for a world title shot. No problem with it.
Askin vs Okolie - Good fight. Another step up for Okolie. Should be entertaining.

So the fights themselves are fine. But there's 2 major problems. Firstly is the levels. One world title fight, one world title eliminator and one British title fight. Is that really worth PPV money? If that's any other main event than AJ then it's a Saturday Fight Night level. Even that is ambitious these days though. This weekend on regular Sky we've got a fringe world level fight, a British title fight and several area level fights.

Secondly, THERE'S ONLY FVCKING 3 OF THEM! No doubt he'll throw in 2 or 3 half decent names (or just recognisable names e.g Benn and Allen) but at this late notice they'll only be knockover jobs. It's fvcking awful.

Its certainly a sad state of affairs especially if your old enough to remember the greener pastures that boxing used to inhabit, really pisses me off if im skint and cant afford a fight and pisses me off just as much if i get the fight anyway only to be served up up a load of sh1t like im some mug punter rather than a life long supporter of the game.

Just from what ive seen of him in the amateurs he can be quite over aggressive,has tricks up his sleeve and if he carries this into the pros I think people will see him as a dirty fighter.Not saying he will hit guys when theyre down or after the bell etc but dirty fighters tend to get a bit of stick.

This card is lacking depth but I'm not too sure when this golden age of PPVs happened.
In my recollection they have always been about the main events with as little padding as the promoter can get away with.
One exception I recall was FWs Magnificent Seven bill.

i actually think these are 3 good fights, and very few ppvs have more then a couple good fights

obviously 3 fights is too little,but add a few other fights with recognizable names and it doesnt really seem bad

That card looks ok(ish) for BN. Few decent fights but still a lot of TBAs on the schedule which is always worrying!

That's true now you mention it.
You would often have a UK leg and then switch stateside on a PPV event so you'd be getting twice as much boxing on those occasions.
They were a marathon especially if you had a few drinks - trying to stay up til 4.30am for the main event was tough!

It’s not great, but not terrible and certainly not as bad as some of the recent PPVs that have been served up. I’ll consider buying it if one if my mates comes over to chip in.

Well you'll laugh but he told me they do have US stuff and then mentioned GGG v Canelo. I pointed that it was not on Sky!!!

There is another fight to confirm apparently which Hearn described as being “around Super Middle”.

James Degale in a non testing fight? Assuming they want to make the Fielding fight for before Christmas so this is a possibility.
