Re: GGG / Alvarez 2 PPV (Who's paying)

It is!
Whatever. When have judges ever not favored Canelo? 114-114 card when he fought Floyd. Biggest blatantly corrupt scorecard I have ever seen. Just because G deserved last fight doesn't mean the judges won't show any less favoritism to Canelo. Anything less than a ko win for G and I expect a draw or decision for Canelo.SenorPipino wrote: ↑12 Sep 2018, 10:18 Canelo has to fight the judges, not Golovkin.
Because all the rabble rousers have convinced the commission that the judges somehow showed favoritism to Canelo, I would expect that this week's judges will go out of their way to turn in the dreaded "make up" scores.
So it's Canelo who will need 3 or 4 knockdowns to actually earn a decision.
Golovkin rooters have absolutely nothing to worry about when it comes to judging. They have that part in the bag.
How much was the previous one?jujigatame wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 11:48 Verizon wants $85 for this, and the undercard is pure mediocrity. I'm gonna pass.
That's European socialism in actionadislav123 wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 12:02 Tjat's just effing crazy! 85!! I've got DAZN for 9,99€ for the next 2 months, including ggg/canelo, josh/pov & whatever else boxing-nights (guess all the main ones)! No way i would pay that much, i would go back to my shitty streams thar freeze every 5 minutes!
This undercard seems to be dividing opinion. I think it's as solid as it gets. Good idea also to a keep your distance from all the off screen action going on around! Feel free to score them, just don't attempt to referee.SenorPipino wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 11:42 I'm heading to Tijuana Mexico to catch it at one of the hundreds of bars, restaurants and nightclubs that will televise it for free on Televisión Azteca.
A few of the bigger clubs usually show it off the English language HBO PPV feed.
Since there's a compelling undercard, I won't need to entertain myself by watching the frequent bar fights that routinely break out.
Any guesses on how many PPV buys there will be?
The first fight attracted 1.3 million. Below expectations.
I'm estimating that all the controversy and trash talking will help lure about 2 million this time.
Are you kidding me? It's a solid undercard: Chocolatito's return, Lemmy/Sully, and Munguia again. One of the better undercards for a PPV fight, actually.jujigatame wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 11:48 Verizon wants $85 for this, and the undercard is pure mediocrity. I'm gonna pass.

Tijuana? Ah, the power of words.. I hope you can enjoy it whatever the outcome. I hope we can all enjoy it whatever the result!
Not sure exactly but I think something in the $70-80 range.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 11:53How much was the previous one?jujigatame wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 11:48 Verizon wants $85 for this, and the undercard is pure mediocrity. I'm gonna pass.
No I am not kidding you. Chocolatito and Munguia are both 20-1 favorites. Those aren't good fights. Lemieux/Spike is a solid fight but also the sort of thing I can watch any weekend for free on ESPN or FS1.Mexi-Box wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 13:17Are you kidding me? Gave us some great KO's btw. O'Sullivan/Lemieux is not an ESPN-quality fight. O'Sullivan was on a good win streak and Lemieux is always a big attraction due to his monstrous power.jujigatame wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 21:49No I am not kidding you. The last boxing PPV I bought was Golovkin/Jacobs because it had a damn good undercard (Chocolatito/Rungvisai and Cuadras/Carmona) and wasn't outrageously priced.
No he didn't. GGG adjusted beautifully and jabbed Canelo's head off. Then hurt Canelo twice in the fight. I feel like I'm in the Twighlight Zone with these comments.Sweet__science wrote: ↑16 Sep 2018, 00:23 What a great fight. Both fighters deserve credit for a tremendous effort. However, Alvarez just clapped back at all the negativity and criticism and beat Golovkin at his own game. He walked down in 7 of the 12 rounds.
Great performance from Canelo who should be in conversation for p4p no.1
....see nothing to worry about, you're man and his team had everyone in their pockets again. The sport sucks!SenorPipino wrote: ↑12 Sep 2018, 10:18 Canelo has to fight the judges, not Golovkin.
