On a side note I loved Foreman's scrub comeback.. It was the way to get in shape and get a decades worth of ring rust off.

What GF did in the first 2 years of his comeback was totally acceptable. After that, as a fan, I wanted to see him against guys like Witherspoon. The Tyson fight falling thru I don't think was his fault, but I'm not sure about those details anymore.

I have never felt more apathy towards a boxing announcement that was meant to be big news in my life.

I didn't remember that, but I looked it up and there were 3 or so examples of JCC fighting guys with very poor records.
But here's why I think that was ok: in all of those cases JCC fought a highly ranked guy within 1 to 4 months of his fighting the "jobbers."

After more than 20 years in boxing and a 50-0 mark, Mayweather has earned the right to fight whoever the hell he wants.

I don't think he's coming back. It's just a lark to get a rise out of the boxing public.

But if he does, the 41 year old Mayweather has no interest in trying to prove himself.

If he hasn't proven himself yet to some out there, then he never will. His detractors could never credit him.

So Mayweather will simply follow the money. And if that money trail leads to Manny Pacquiao, that's where he's headed.

Ignore him if you want. Order your PPV today if you still crave your Mayweather fix.

But I'll always take the opportunity to watch one of the greatest boxer/salesman of the past several generations. And yes, even against a somewhat decrepit Pacquiao.

I suspect many others would too, but just won't admit it.

I'll give you one since I think mostly Floyd and Al Haymon does it. When they were both on HBO, Floyd went out of his way to announce his fight vs Marquez the day before Pacquiao Hatton. He did a similar thing when Pacquiao fought Clottey.

Yeah true. As a Pro at least. Should be a big draw over there whoever they pick. Japanese fans love to see their guys challenge a Legend, no matter how bad a mismatch it appears to be on paper.

Sounds like he's linked up with Kyoei over there. Kyoei promote Tomoki Kameda who has been teasing about a fight for himself for a week or so.... So maybe some legs to that theory
