I must be missing something here
He is planning a big fight in December..

Piss poor eh..
Oiky wrote: 18 Sep 2018, 07:59 Not even worth watching it's a joke
Probably won't even be televised anyway..

Even so, I thought he'd at least fight someone I had heard off..

It's clear he's hanging on for a ppv fight with the winner of Groves & Smith.

I like DeGale and don't rate Eubank that highly but I'm not sure that's a low risk fight for DeGale at this stage. Groves controlled Eubank with his jab and DeGale, probably due to injuries, doesn't have one.
:TU:

DeGale at times in both Truax fights looked like could barely extend his jab fully.

As limited as Jr is, that plus the trademarked DeGale tactic of "I'll just back up to the ropes for three rounds now & stop punching & moving & see what happens" doesn't bode well for Chunky.

One thing we know about Eubank is he's gonna be coming forward all night...

Probably mate aye. Hard to disagree there. DeGale doesn't like a fast pace and Eubank has a decent workrate for all his faults....

Sad to see.

Why does he even need a warm up fight for what everyone knows will be his cash out fight.

He’ll take more punishment than he should in this fight and whomever he fights in December will administer a prolonged beating to him

Munoz will no doubt be billed as a former world title challenger, without the fact that it was at lightweight getting a mention .

Maybe. No doubt.

Like I said, I doubt the fight will even be televised.

Kinda like when Whyte fought Tann on the Crawford-Indongo undercard. It wasn't televised, then they go on about exposure lol.

I'd be more interested in DeGale vs Eubank than either of them vs Groves. I want to see Groves (if he wins against Smith) vs any of the other champs but preferably Ramirez.

jamamb wrote: 17 Sep 2018, 12:31 not sure i agree, brit, euro , and world champ. was #1 smw in the world and universal top 3 in many rankings for a time. won the title in a really good fight away from home vs dirrell, beat rejuventated bute in a good one in butes backyard, really entertaining draw vs top opponent in jack

lost to groves but that was really close and a memorable domestic fight for me. avenged loss to truax

id say hes had a fine career even considering his amateur level
agreed, also he did that on the back of losing to groves, i think degales is top boxer, and jthe ack fight showed he had a heart and chin, i really like degale as a fighter , let him self down though he could of achieved more , he switches off

I would rather have seen Degale fight Uzcategui than Eubank.

Uzcategui is a better fighter.
