How can you not commit a breach if you have tested positive for a banned subsidence? No wonder it's rare a UK fighter gets popped for something

I remember being disappointed with Dominic Ingle's comments regarding Canelo's failed test in last months Boxing Monthly, everyone else who gave an opinion rightly slated Alvarez

BM-Does the sanctioning of the rematch reflect badly on boxing?

Ingle-No, Canelo has served the time he was given and you have to move on. However, bans need to be uniform, Dillian Whyte got 2 years for accidently taking a stimulant. Kid Galahad got 2 years for something he strongly contests. Canelo only gets 6 months

BM-What are thoughts on the length of the ban for Canelo?

Ingle- Its never black and white, The evidence doesn't seem very conclusive, Clentbuterol is usually used on animals, not humans, Canelo's paid his price and done the time he was given

BM-In what way could clenbuterol provide a fighter with an unfair advantage?

Ingle-It wouldn't make him stronger, Its a fat burner that accelerates muscle mass, perhaps enabling him to have shorter camp, I don't think its ever been proven to be effective, My view is you can either fight or you cant fight, No amount of drugs is gonna change that :-?

Just by looking at Ingle you can tell he knows about this sort of thing which is surprising giving his views which are bollocks IMO, Liam Smith, Matthew Macklin and Martin Murray were all asked the same questions and were scathing of Canelo and rightly so, there seems to be a trend at the Wincobank these days, failed tests and crass behaviour and Ingle's ignorance is alarming, I rate him as a trainer too and he's a clever switched on guy

I hope Eddie lobbies the WBO aggressively for BJS to be stripped of the title.

Would it not be a good idea for all the anti doping bodies to have the same rules?

espn saying its the rules of where the fights being held that apply first, this fights in usa not uk

i mean, surely there has to be some overarching rules that apply the same to each fighter, otherwise you could get one guy allowed to use differently then the other just because hes from somewhere else

image a drugs banned under boston jurisdiction , only for a guy to box there and be allowed to take it because hes from the uk, whereas the boston guy cant. would seem strange

im not sure whats happening, but is it really only uk rules applying to bjs when hes not boxing in uk?

I think he's screwed. He has failed a VADA test and rules are where the fight taking place. Like drinking alcohol over here its fine, but do it in Saudi Arabia and you get put in jail. Tyson Gay (sprinter) got a year ban for doing same drug.

Be a very good idea , stop all the silliness

What he's tested for you can get in heaps of pre workout and other gym supps, divvy to not be clued up on what vada say you can n can't do but I highly doubt it's something he purposely had it in his brain to do or knew about

Common decongestant nasal spray is apprantly the reason for the failed test.

I remember years ago a skier a think said the same thing.
