What is oxilofrine?

Oxilofrine is a stimulant of the amphetamine class that was developed to treat hypotension (low blood pressure) in people who do not respond to conventional treatment. All that is irrelevant - Saunders and his team knew they had signed up to VADA rules, they would have been perfectly capable of checking what they could/couldn’t take. Saunders got caught using PEDs, simple as that. People trying to make excuses for him are just a joke, and exactly why PED use isn’t treated seriously in boxing.

Even if the nasal spray story is true, it’s a lack of awareness from Saunders and his handlers not to run the prescription (or if it was over the counter medicine), past the testers and inform them of the potential effects vs a drug test.

Surely there are basic procedural steps to take prior to this
