That's why, in part, legislation in boxing changed prohibiting managers from promoting cards with their talent, etc. It happened wayyyy too often. It was a complete conflict of interest.

I disagreed with you because you didn't know what you were talking about.
I just thought it was necessary to point out some of the silly statements that you made which you had stated as fact; you have not really even tried to counter my specific points.
As for the conflict of interest point -Yes, if the same guy promoting refereeing, and judging the fight is the manager of one of the two fighters it gives at least the appearance of a conflict of interest. In this case, the guy (Dempsey) showed the integrity to judge the fight as he saw it.
