Here are some high-lights of rounds One,Two,Eight,Ten and Twelve
( curiously missing is round 7 which was reportedly Ketchels best round in the entire fight when he really did have Johnson hurt by a right hand but Johnson remained on his feet )
Any time films don't have rounds in them, some one does not want to show something. The round isn't missing by accident.
There is a lot of talk of the knockdowns and allegations of a fixed fight, ( After ed death of course ) but it should be noted the press reported a visible welt on Johnson ( round 7 or 8 ) and reports Johnson being dazed when the fight ended.
This was no fixed fight. Kechel despite being a middle weight could hit. I don't think he could box well yet he landed occasionally and we saw the effects , or rather they were edited out.
You realize that the entire fight was filmed and shown in its entirety. If a round doesnt exist today its because it has been lost or deteriorated. Not because of some conspiracy.

So are you saying that a manager or promoter did not cut out some portion of round XYZ and that copy is what we have today? You come as a person who owns this film, but my question remians for you to answer.
Some Old Boxing films have been edited. They just have been. Like the Dempsey vs. Firpo film. Several knockdowns are missing and the film has been doctored. Nothing is wrong or deteriorated with that film. Yet that what is here today.

The Dempsey Firpo fight is not missing several knockdowns. Its missing parts of a couple but you need to keep in mind that film is easily damaged. Knockdowns are the most exciting part of the film and the most likely to be replayed meaning they suffer the most wear and tear by being run back and forth through the projector, hence why so many films are damaged at the knockout/knockdown.
