Perfect fight. One fighter is too old, the other one is too fat.

The average age of an Anthony Joshua opponent, based on his last eight contests (on the date he fought them), is 33 years and four months.

Wladimir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin and Carlos Takam distort the figures somewhat.

If we were to calculate the average age of an AJ opponent, excluding Povetkin and Klitschko, so using his most recent six bouts, it drops to 31 years and one month.

No one can possibly pretend that the average Anthony Joshua opponent is in the same ballpark age-wise as those veterans that Jarrell Miller continually faces.

Comparing Miller to AJ in any way is valueless. Miller is a fat pig whose stomach size is only eclipsed by his big mouth. There's a reason he doesn't fight top 5/10 HW's.

I don't think anyone compared Joshua's opponents ages to Miller's. We did a quick comparison of Wilders and Joshuas and the where with in 8 months of each other.
I do not see anyone comparing that to Millers :TU:

Sorry, the last sentence in my post was more of a pre-emptive strike, not targeted at you or anyone specific, as I knew that "someone" would try to challenge me.

I don't remember these because i was a child but fres oquendos best wins appear to of been in 2001.... If your best win was 17 years ago your odds are probably pretty slim.

I'll laugh my ass off if Oquendo makes Miller look like dogshit.

If the fight goes the entire 12 rounds, it should be an automatic disqualifier for Miller to fight for the heavyweight title anytime soon--- if the fight even goes passed six rounds, it posts serious doubts about Miller's worth as a heavyweight anyways.

Fres could win in a 15 round fight imo... but not 12... Miller just too active and powerful for Oquendo to outbox him at this point

Either way, obviously Miller wins this and will probably end very early.
I don't think even a prime Oquendo would have won this, a 6ft2 guy that lost against Jean Mormac doesn't stand much of a chance against a 300 pounder who's even less or more in shape at that weight. I think the odds are higher that Miller fails a test then that he would lose against Oquendo in the ring.
Funny? It would be a ferkin miracle! As has been said. Hopefully this will end the Oquendo saga and hopefully hasten the day when Miller tests his mettle against someone who is relevant at the top level. I think he has what it takes - he needs to start proving it.

Guess what? The long awaited Oquendo ring return is delayed once again!

I swear, he's gonna be 60 next time he fights and breaks Hopkins' record.

I've been thinking a long time that Bogdan Dinu should start increasing the level of his opposition (He must be nearly 32 now) but taking on Jarrell Miller would be a ridiculous step up ... almost like fighting Wilder after Serferi and Pianeta :o

Dinu v Bryan would be interesting, or how about Dinu v Hammer to determine the best Romanian Heavyweight, even those two would be quite a step up in level?

Miller v Hammer would've made more sense as well. I for one hope that Dinu pulls it off, just to mix things up a bit.

According to an ESPN.com report Wednesday night, the inactive, 45-year-old contender turned down a fight for what will be a vacant version of the WBA’s heavyweight title. Oquendo reportedly was offered $500,000 to fight unbeaten Jarrell Miller on November 17 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, but he declined that bout because Oquendo doesn’t think there’s enough time to properly implement Voluntary Anti-Doping Association testing for performance-enhancing drugs.

ESPN.com also reported Miller now likely will box Bogdan Dinu at Boardwalk Hall three weeks from Saturday night. Romania’s Dinu has accepted promoter Eddie Hearn’s offer to meet Miller, whose approval was needed as of Wednesday night to finalize the deal.

Hmm is he worried about not having enough time to make sure Miller is not doping or not enough time for himself to cycle of from the gear?
