Rodrigo Valdez seems deserving.

Still hoping for Jimmy Ellis.

A thing hurting Ellis' chances is that he is most famous for fights where he did not fare very well (Frazier, Ali). Not many did fare very well against Frazier and Ali.

His fight with Patterson did not help either. Of course, Patterson has been in the IBHOF for quite awhile (inducted in 2nd year, 1991). Patterson was my favorite, but I still believe that Ellis could beat anyone that Floyd beat.

Jimmy did beat Chuvalo, Bonavena, Leotis Martin, Quarry, Persol, Doyle, Davila, Billy Daniels, etc. and as an amateur beat a guy named Clay.

Rafael Marquez
Gilberto Roman
Santos Laciar

That would be the three I’d think deserves it but it will be Marquez, Hatton and Calderon.

I believe Happy Lora deserves to get in and, arguably, so does Serrano.

I would love to see Lockridge and Curry get in. McGirt was a two division champion with an eye-popping record but came up short against Whitaker and Taylor. I thought he would have fared better against those two. I have a soft spot for McGirt as I met him a bunch of times - really nice guy.

There are some very good fighters on this list and some that I never got to see.

Pazienza is not a hall of famer but it wouldn't surprise me if he gets in. He was a media darling in the same mold as Mancini and Gatti.

Julian Jackson was another favorite of mine. His blowout of Terry Norris was something to see. His fight with McCallum is worth watching 100 times.

Agree that certain names are more likely to get in than who really deserves it.
Rocky Lockridge is probably the most deserving. Four Fights with ATGs. where he was right there with them

Hatton will probably get in even though many others are more worthy. Could see Pazienza, get in as well. Maybe Eubank, Benn, Vargas, DM, Moorer. None should though.

Clearly there a lot of borderline cases of who should get in. McGirt might be helped by the fact that he has stayed in the public eye as a trainer. You can make a case for Curry or Jackson.

There really isn't one guy that is a no-brainer though,
