Price didn’t take much damage in his last fight. He gassed a bit before the stoppage but he wasn’t really hurt. Pov fight was April. He’ll get a licence to box again. He can still make money.

Expect to see him on AJ’s Wembley undercard in April.

It's a concern though having been knocked out the number of times he has, plus his punch resistance seems to have gone, - it's his life, but I don't like to see chinny fighters, especially ones with poor defensive skills carrying on.

Yeh. It’s no good saying you have that 1 punch KO power. Browne said the same thing. Waited round after round to land it but instead got KTFO himself.

He should aim for Allen if he’s looking to kickstart it again.

Allen has a bit of a name now and Price is guaranteed to beat him imo.

Don't know if he really falls in the glass chin category, he just got hit with devastating shots while completely defenseless.

Don't think any man could've taken that hand povetkin finished him with or even got up from it. "Not a man born from his mother".

After he lost the first time to Thompson he was talking about how he was never going to put his family through that again and how hard it was to put them through seeing him get starched. It's such a change from his mentality after the Povetkin fight of accepting he's likely getting starched now and again. The only thing I can think of is he needs the money

maybe not, but lenroy thomas beat allen and lenroy gets stopped pretty much by anyone half decent he faces. even some random 11-9 guy knocked him out early.

its so obvious that price isnt winning vs these euro level and above guys hes been losing to, yet he keeps being matched with them. if there was any long term plan for him to build himself up and not just keep taking these losing paydays he shouldve dropped back to domestic level

I just think anyone who can last a few rounds against Price would have an excellent chance of wearing him down and stopping him,Allen does have a decent chin and that's all you need at this stage of Prices career.

i feel that allen beats price now.......allen wont lay down if price bangs. it may take 6 rounds for allen to catch him but price will gas and allen will land the bingo.

It's one of the easiest fights out there for Allen right now at British level.

Hearn im sure would love Price vs Allen for british title next year.
Probs a 50-50 headline act on your *normal* sky sports sub. :-?

FYI i think thats an ugly as hell fight with Pricey winning on points...
Would still watch though... :maybe:

EDIT: Price vs Allen as chief support for AJ V Whyte... Sounds like an Eddie Hearn kind of plan

Chisora was outboxed, but landed that 1 punch.. Hearn probably thinks Price can do the same. Difference is, Takam will likely KO Price within the first 6 rounds. Because if it does go past 6 rounds, Price will get gassed too.

I think he should quit anyway

He jacked in his last fight, he never tore his bicep, he wouldlnt be back out so soon if he did, I think he should hang em up, roll out that big ol suit and do some punditry :TU:

I agree.

But at least the Dave Allen fight is somewhat winnable. With Price's size/power he's in it until half way. With the right game plan he might even be able to frustrate and fiddle his way to a decision.

The Takam fight is a suicide mission at this point, might as well hand his licence in now. Although Takam might be a fringe level heavy after his last result, he'll flatten Price, probably early doors.

Good point made above.

If he did tear his bicep like he said he did, then he wouldnt be out so soon.

I really like Price, which I think is an opinion a lot of people have, which is why I would hate to see him get hurt. Not that I wish anyone any ill fortune mind.

The Allen Price fight makes sense, it probably does 'good numbers' to channel Hearn so should be some good money in it for both and could potentially get made for the British title.

If it were to be made, I would favour Allen, purely as he is fresher and could drown Price in the later rounds.
