He's trying to use it to add value to the Whyte/DelBoy PPV though. Just as bad IMO.

This could lead to an incredibly dull fight where both men are so terrified of gassing themselves and determined to wait for the other to gas - that nothing at all happens for the first 9 rounds.MattCoke wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 06:43 Price v Briggs, 10 rounder, undercard of Whyte Chisora, loser retires surely, also free money for gamblers betting on ‘fight not to go the distance’ market. Briggs should let Price have his way for the first 3/4 rounds then take him out after Price has shot his load, or vice versa, Price let Briggs shoot his load, then take him out. I’m predicting a bad knockout either way.
Great shout that!! I can’t imagine that’s a match up that Peter Fury would want to take on right now.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 08:19Briggs starts fast and the last thing to go is the power. Price should be fighting Hughie Fury, it's the perfect fight for him.ILikeBeer wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 08:18Wouldn't amaze me.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 08:12 I hope I'm wrong, but Briggs in the first is the bet I'll be placing.

I've seen Briggs last 12 rounds but never fight for 12 rounds. His asthma gasses him out in the first three/four rounds typically. He used to be able to carry his power late in a fight (throwing a bomb every 45 seconds or so) but that's about it. He should be retired.Stuarty wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 17:10astradamus wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 16:18People are overreacting, he went to distance winning all 12 rounds 4 years ago against Raphael Zumbano.![]()
Surely the pace Love set 4 years ago will stand him in good stead for another 12 rounderoogiebe wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 17:13I've seen Briggs last 12 rounds but never fight for 12 rounds. I don't see it. Price putting a hurt on Povetkin tells me that the big man is still worthy of being competitive in the middle tier of the division. Briggs seems to know the best he can do is dig a liver shot in on rank amatuers. If this goes ahead i think Price would hurt Briggs, who has no business in the ring at all at this point.handsofstone wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 18:38 That roided up version of Briggs that destroyed that dude in a round on the Haye undercard would probably do similar damage to Price, there's no reason why Price has to go in with someone as dangerous as even this version of Briggs, I like a fight with Hughie for the British
I agree, I thought he should have called it day after hellacious beating Vitali gave him nearly ten years ago.RKY wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 19:30I don't see it. What’s the point of this fight?
I suppose, I did quite enjoy the almost pub car park like scrap on Saturday night with Dave Allen.RKY wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 19:36Entertainment wwe style.
