Probably Wlad fight is a kind of a trump card for Fury indeed. Still why not, Fury was able to do, what nobody ever had done. In Wlad fight he dominated Klitschko, nobody did that neither before nor afterwards. Fury did that after Wlad's prolonged reign. Imo, that achievement was bigger, than the whole Wilder's career.
I seem to remember Corrie Sanders pretty much dominate Wlad.
That was a different thing. A quick KO. You can't say, that Wlad was outboxed then. Fury outboxed him in a near-shutout performance.
It was domination, however you might like to define it. Also by the time Fury fought Wlad, Klitchko was no where near his prime. I appreciate what Fury did, but I just can't translate that into his fight against Wilder. Fury is counting on confusing and 'bewildering' Deontay, but Wilder will be way more aggressive than Wlad and Wilder has an incredible ability to close distance while firing his one-two. Wilder a very different fighter than what Fury faced in Wlad. It'll be an interesting evening at the very least.

Fair point mate.
On the other hand, look at Fury.
His self promotion in the UK has made him more popular and visible during a period of inactivity and then fighting two railyard hobo's in a row
He could sell more tickets now than he could for the Wlad fight.

Great point amigo. After pot-bellied part-time golfer Sanders (who had only fought 3 rounds in the previous 33 months), humiliated Wlad, Klitschko hired Manny Steward to train him. Steward schooled him in the clutch and grab technique that made Wlad more difficult to hit squarely. Wlad's loss of Steward as his trainer seems to have effected him more as the years have passed. Let's not forget that Wlad was already 40 by the time he fought Fury.

Yup; yup; and definitely yup. He sure did miss Steward. My favorite trainer AT.
