I got this wrong. I'm a fan of Carroll and I thought he could reach a certain level and I was wrong. Wouldn't mind seeing him in with Ritson at 135...
I don't think your wrong, it's just too soon, maybe 2-3 more fights with the right matchmaking and he will be ready.
As for chucking him in with Ritson, ah, no. His defence isnt there yet and Ritson would clobber him fairly early on I'm afraid. It was one poor performance from an up and comming prospect. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for now and see how he does
Ritson would more than likely be too big for him at 135 but that's a pity coz I could see that being a good fight!

Ritson would destroy him. Sorry but Carroll has never fought anyone and soon as he did he come up stuck. Honestly I wish it wasn't like that as he seems such a nice guy etc but he just can't handle a shot, he prided himself on the gladiator stuff and you can see when he got hit it changed his tactic. The issue is people rate the boy gerhaty and as nice a boxer the man is in a 36 minute fight he is always gonna get clipped and he just falls a part. Carroll is always cut and he stays in the pocket go long. I am just glad he didn't get the farmer fight as that's very one sided. This is the issue with the rankings and the promotors manipulating them, I would rather they all had 25 fights some wins and some losses and learning properly rather than trying to be mayweather and getting to the opportunity and not being able to get out of trouble, work with a cut or know what it's like to need to pull it out the bag.
