Yep! And I understand it is PRIZE fighting and not PRIDE fighting
But I'd be embarrassed taking on an old inactive shell of a fighter.
I'd do it for 20 million!!!
I'd do it for 20,000
LMAO!

And another thing. What does this fight do to Joshua's legacy? Will people point out that this is the definition of cherry picking.
AJ gains nothing but money off of this.
I'd rather he fight Whyte, Pulev or Miller at this point. And none of those excite me either
I used to be all about "Legacy" and"Legacy defining fights", and would judge guys harshly for not pursuing this sorta thing more adamantly, but I've read plenty of books about retired boxers who's legacies are just fine, but they're broke as sh*t, and all but forgotten by the average man in spite of it.
Really at the end of it all, the money you made, and the money you still got is the most important thing.
Just doing a quick Google search Wlad's net worth is approx 60 million.
How much does one man need to feel secure

He must have a bigger ego than we thought to need the limelight so much as to come back at his age.

In his case it's almost certainly not about the money. He just has that itch again, and needs to scratch it. Maybe he'll reconsider, but when something is what you love to do it's hard to just walk away when you still feel like you're capable of doing it.

Read the article. Wlad started to text AJ and he is quoted as saying he can beat everyone in the division.

Really? Wladimir is only going to end up with another loss on his resume.

I honestly think he just needs to stay retired, he obviously doesn’t need any more payday’s, so I’m guessing it’s the embarrassment of losing and wanting to get vengeance. If that’s how he’s thinking, he needs to wake up, because I doubt he’ll be any better than he was in their first fight — he had good training and mentally in a good place, unlike the Fury fight two years before.
Wladimir Klitschko can obviously give the fight his best shot, but AJ will definitely end up stopping him. Wladimir is only getting older and slower now, and will eventually get caught with a hook or an uppercut like last time.
Just don’t do it Wlad. If you want to come back, that’s cool, just don’t be fighting the best of the Division.

I'd love to see him come back in another capacity like trainer? Imagine if he could impart his methods onto an up and coming fighter????

Oh yeah, that’d be brilliant. He could have some serious good protégés under his training — and possibly even Vitali could help! — which seems like a really good idea for him.
It’s a pretty cool idea though, I have to admit, think about it — “Klitschko’s Gym”.

He should fight Fres Oquendo and retire with a belt and a win on his record.

Doesn't seem that crazy to me.
Wladimir makes another $20-30 million... and w/ Fury-Wilder undoubtedly rematching, who else will Joshua fight? Jarrell Miller? Oh boy, can't wait to see that one.

I'm sure Joshua'd be a huge favorite against Wlad... but it isn't like Wlad can't spark him out.

I wouldn't like to see this match. Holmes had defeated Ali, but Joshua would destroy Wlad.

Some would say Holmes destroyed Ali. Like me. It was the worst thing I've ever seen.

Only reason Wlad would come back is to be a world champion at an older age than Vitali was when he retired after his comeback.

Because he is rich as f and the only thing he cares about is his legacy. He wants to be a first ballot hall of famer like his brother

It wouldn't surprise me. Even smart guys like Klitschko get sucked in to thinking they've still got it.
He'd get stopped again though unless he catches Joshua early.
It's probably still an easier sell than Whyte 2 though with the wider public. Unfortunately.
