Just figuratively, but it happens all the time. Not too long ago people were wondering who the hell Terrance Crawford was to fight Prescott.

First of all, Navarette was better than any of Farmer's opponents, and MUCH better than Fonseca who was an awful challenger for a beltholder.

Second of all, who cares? Just because upsets happen doesn't mean I'm interested in watching garbage matchmaking. Chris Arreola might have a 1% chance of beating Anthony Joshua but that doesn't mean I'm interested in watching it.

You dont have to be interested. It's just a strange position for a fan to have. I'm not overly interested in any farmer fight. I'd most likely watch Joshua/fatso if it was one of 6 aj fights in a year.

farmer hasnt been mixing solid opponents in though really, since pedraza beat him 6 years ago whose the best he faced

I said it was a strange position to prefer to wait 6 months for a fight with a top guy as opposed to having stay active fights in between. What exactly were you expecting of him 3 or 4 years ago? I didn't even know who he was.

For a top guy, his resume is the weakest of all the champions. No one is asking him to wait 6 months to do anything. We're asking him to fight someone, anyone. Don't tell me he couldn't get a fight lined up with some of the prospects like Vences or De Leon. His last two fights have been awful.

Probably Tennyson, who was at least coming off a decent win even though it was his lone noteworthy performance. Fonseca got thrashed by Davis which was the only time he ever faced anyone decent. Who knows why he has such a consistently high IBF ranking. I assume someone got paid.
