Even a schoolboy amateur could tell you he got his tactics wrong.
As for his future, plenty of good domestic and Euro fights out there for him.
It's not as if he is boring to watch, I think he is quite entertaining with the right opponent and a good test for UK fighters before wanting to go to Euro or Commonwealth level.
Another go at the British and a step up for Zach Parker would be OK.
Rematch with Brophy
Confidence booster fight for Eubank Jr
All those would be quite watchable.

I was really never a Rocky fan before, so I have bias, I admit.

It's obvious you are correct. Just frustrating that he didn't seem to try to use distance at all.
He did, canelo just closed it and to be fair if you have ever taken a bodyshot like Fielding did you will realise that his legs would be pretty weak making it even harder to create some distance between them.
OH yes, I'm aware of how paralyzing those body shots are. Maybe I had too high expectations of Fielding, given his height and reach advantage, OR, I'm still underestimating Canelo. Oh well ,won't be the first time, won't be the last.
Done it often myself :TU:

Before there was talk of Canelo being smaller. He's shorter than Rocky sure but Canelo didn't seem small at the weight, he has a very solid build. He obviously carries a dig at SMW as well.

He’s a tank. Looks very strong. He’s been a smw for a long time in my opinion - masquerading as a light middle, hence why he needed clenbuterol.

Rockys a decent fighter but not world class... he's done well to get a good purse... good luck to him but he was out of his depth...

Well said. He took advantage of the payday as most would. Best wishes to him
