I don’t think Ron is too bad, especially when compared to Adam Smith.

I love the lanky, verbose freak !
Never uses one word when 13 words, two sub-clauses, a thesaurus and some footnotes will suffice.

I once saw him in the Lidl in Wembley, he is a weird looking freak...but he may have thought the same about me.

He annoyed me last night when he was asking Warrington who he would like to fight next. He then kept on rambling all different opponents instead of letting Josh answer. Geezer doesnt know when to be quiet. He's a blurter.

I don't mind Ron at all, he has his own style that can grate but he's ok. Adam Smith is the only one who makes me want to turn the sound down. He's played his part in making boxing high profile in the UK again, but a commentator he is not. He doesn't have an opinion on anything and can't read a fight.

Smith's great at creating a backstory

"Here's the challenger, his father ran away before he was born, his mother was a prostitute, his brother was murdered, his sister was raped, he had to fight to survive and get out of the ghetto of Tunbridge Wells"

I can't remember it to even paraphrase it, but what is it that Smith said about about a comment not being a reference to the 9/11 attacks?! I just remember it being a pure Alan Partridge moment lol.

It's clear Smith writes his script, or has it written for him before the fight.
If the fight doesn't go according to plan, he normally just carries on reading his script.

To be fair nobody says Hamilton came from a ghetto, just that he didn't come from money, he was just fortunate he had a father who worked several jobs and didn't piss his earnings away in the pub or the bookies like so many blokes do.

I quite like Ron’s commentating, makes a change from the usual, not so sure about his ring interviewing after fight even just for aesthetic reasons, looked very odd interviewing Warrington.
