Going nowhere this bloke.
Terrible waste of talent
Wrecked an NRL career and hasn’t showed the discipline to succeed in this game

He is only 25 and stopped Hunter Sam in 1 round on 4 March 2021, who has not won in his last 14 bouts.

Although there is plenty of time for him to reach his potential with regular bouts, his opponents need to be of much better calibre.

Tomorrow night Willis Meehan fights a bloke named James Singh. Singh is 183cm tall and in his last fight tipped the scales at 334 pounds (151.5kgs. ) This makes him 5 inches shorter than Willis and about 100 pounds heavier. Reads like Butterbean's little brother, Butterball. If Willis does not finish the fight with a 12-0 record there is something wrong apart from the matchmaking.

James Singh went out in the first when the towel came in.

Lets hope James is no relation to that legend in his own lunchtime, Nohit Singh.

james had a real boxing match vs a tough opponent, his balls are obviously too big for him to be related to nohit

He won the Fijian Heavyweight title a while ago. The problem is every Fijian athlete of the size of a good heavyweight is making a good living from Rugby Union or Rugby League.

An 18 day turn around for the unbeaten Willis, who next takes on Uria Afamasaga (3-4-0) on the Williams/Hall undercard.

Back in October 2016 Uria took on Jai Opetaia and ended up in a heap, barely making the 2nd round.

Just another easy "W" for the record, and it is time took for more creditable opposition.

Uria was an Australian amateur champ back in the day but he’d be in his 40s by now and usually a cruiserweight. He could bang although that was some time ago and at middleweight. Let’s hope he comes into the fight in shape and makes a bit of a fight of it.

In today's Daily Telegraph:
Boxer Willis Meehan charged with string of alleged offences.

Once a rising star, now one of Australia’s most promising boxers, Willis Meehan faces the end of his sporting career after being charged with a string of offences.

Former NRL star turned boxer Willis Meehan will spend Christmas behind bars on remand after being charged with a string of alleged offences.

Meehan, 27, was remanded in custody at Silverwater jail on November 8, and is set to appear at Fairfield Local Court on January 16, 2023, to face numerous charges including drug possession, break-and-enter, stealing a vehicle, having stolen goods and destroying property.

Meehan did not make an application for bail and therefore will remain in jail on remand for at least the next seven weeks.

The troubled athlete has faced legal tough times during his NRL career, but this latest controversy could be the end of his promising boxing career....
