It’s just evolved into something we traditionalists don’t like but it doesn’t really effect the top tier, boxing has constantly changed since day one and in an ever changing world maybe it has had to just to survive.

Not a bad point. Maybe it (multiple belts) allowed for more exposure, as casuals eat up championship fights. Could be, I won't deny that. But it dilutes the sport with relation to more competitive fights at the top tier, IMHO.

Don’t get me wrong mate I long for the old days there’s just no turning back now is there ? I once made the point on here that reverting back to to 8 divisions and one world title per division would leave fans with hardly any World title fights to watch in a calendar year, the guy rightfully called me on it saying fights between contenders trying to climb the rankings would replace and would be as big as most of the bullish!t world title fights we get now, just seems a bit out of reach those ideals now.

I remember watching this at about 10am on sky,didnt bone crusher quit with a dislocated shoulder or something? Terrible fight only lasted 1or 2 rounds if i remember correctly

I remember thinking when i seen who was fighting "joe bugner will get smashed here" then i seen the state of bonecrusher lol both were totally out of shape and would of been better fitted to white collar

Both say they began in 1988. I wonder if one is a breakaway from the other?

BoxRec are wrong with listing the current WBF history with the original, they haven't updated a couple of WBFoundation titles from a couple of years ago either, so the title history's are inaccurate, unfortunately.
