All this stuff about Khan ducking Brook is ludicrous. He's avoiding Brook to fight a better fighter, that's not ducking. Most of the people perpetuating this myth tend to be matchroom fanboys.
It's pretty obvious that Khan isn't scared of Brook. However he dislikes him to the extent that he would sacrifice a huge payday for himself in exchange for Brook losing out on a huge payday. That's pretty much what it boils down to.
That’s it. Khan dislikes him and doesn’t want to give him his big payday. There is no other big payday out there for Brook. Whereas Khan, he’s just been offered $5m guaranteed plus an upside of PPV revenue to fight Crawford, one of the top P4P’ers and world champion. Who’s gonna offer Brook that?
Khan has played with Brook for years, once Brook gave in and said yes to all the demands about the weight etc he then tossed him aside, that's going to hurt Brook for years as he really doesn't have much to offer now and there are certainly no big pay days on the way for him, basically he's in a bad position now with very few options.

Exactly. There's a lot of things you can call Khan but I don't think being a bottler is one of them.
Yup.

lol khans record is absolutely stacked with quality opponents, any suggestions that hes some sort of cowardly bottle job are laughable, hes obviously playing a man he doesnt seem to like and he knows hes getting to brook. khan is brooks daddy atm.
well, khans probably fighting terence crawford next, brook will probably fight brandon cook or sumting

To me it's more the case that Khan knows that if he were to fight and lose to Brook then he'd be remembered in the UK for that loss above all his various successes in his pro career. So it's something of a face saving exercise. In his stop-start career he could and should have fought Brook. He's not held a world title since 2011 and you're in luck if he actually musters up two fights a year.

Nah mate, Brook isn’t some monster with otherworldly skills, Khan wouldn’t be judged harshly on a loss to him either at this stage of his career, fans will remember him for sucking it up against Madaina and grinding out a win while Brook will be remembered for sucking it up against Jones and grinding out a win whilst tapping his nose to let everyone know it was broken.

Khan is definitely toying with Kell here, he's like a little bimbo swaying round the dance floor twitching his arse at Brook then dancing with some other bloke
It is so easy to see it from Khans perspective though, a loss to Brook leaves him pretty much finished on the world scene as a world 'name' whereas a loss to Crawford is only to be expected and he can still drop a level to finish on a W vs Brook or maybe even someone else. He's got Brook right where he wants him and as others have said I wouldn't be surprised if he never had any intentions of ever fighting him, certainly has shades of Hatton/Witter all over it and Kell only has himself (and Hearn) to blame

He would and by the public at large and those masses of casuals who'd make Brook-Khan such a huge PPV event - the very gallery that Khan has played out his career to. I doubt they'd barely remember Maidana or even know of Jones.

Think Khan wouldn’t lose too much sleep over it, good career with a hefty bank balance, it’s not like Brook would walk through him anyway, Garcia had to practically nail him to the floor, no quit in that lad.

Yeh and Khan was boxing and beating Garcia up until the first knockdown.

If Khan was sure he could beat Brook, he would fight him. The 'pain' of giving Brook a big payday would be alleviated by making him eat his words and humiliating him. A win over Kell Brook would also be Khan's best win in 8 years, do much to restore his credibility and springboard him into a legit world title challenge.
None of this happen, because Khan knows there's a high chance Brook will dash him to bits with one right hand.
He's electing to skip getting KOd by Brook for big money in favour of getting KOd by a Crawford or similar for less money.

But if he takes the Brook fight he possibly misses the chance of a fight with a p4p fighter which is surely better for his legacy, sure all brit fights are a big occasion but can’t knock him for wanting to test himself against the best, old school values.

Its a hell of a long time since the maidana fight. Khan hasnt took a real risk for years, hes just been waiting for them big pay days. Ppl will say canelo. To me, thats like brook v ggg or, indeed, the Crawford fight. Hes gonna get beat but its a lose and still win situation, as he gets the kudos for just taking the fight.
Should gave fought brook, but easy to understand why he hasnt.
Its crawford i'm more disappointed in, he shouldnt need a fight like this at this point in his career. Hes a clear top 5 pfp.

Just looking at brooks record and who has he fought? Every elite fighter has beat him, shaen porter was that close you could of gone either way,i thought porter beat him. Even after winning the world title he fights gavin on ppv? Then jo jo dan? Wtf? Im glad khan has refused him a payday,he is fighting world class fighters time after time while brooks record stinks of journeyman

Brook did a ridiculous amount of holding in the Porter fight and got away with a lot. If you watch that fight and then watch Thurman against Porter who didn't attempt to hold anywhere near as much, Thurman had a much more difficult time because of it.

Ye exactly, brook won the title on holding the champ then jumping around screaming like he was gettin burnt alive when he won,he didnt do enough for me for him to win that fight mate. Then who did he fight after that frankie gavin? And us mugs got charged ppv money for the privilege

Brooks careers has generally been a disappointment. He had the talent to be one of the best guys, but more often than not be took the easy route. Then he finally rolled the dice and fought Golovkin (which was a really stupid decision by Hearn) and got his face smashed up and pretty much ruined him as a fighter.

I’d rather Crawford fight Khan in April than Collazo.. just hope he doesn’t fight Collazo after that. Khan is still a name, a much bigger and better name and he also beat Collazo a while ago clearly, scoring a few KD’s on the way. You can say Collazo has had a few decent wins since but nothing screaming world level.

Spence will fight Garcia, Crawford is likely to fight Khan. WTF? Spence and Crawford have each other to finally prove, who's the best out there, but they choose to waste their time on knowingly easier opponents.

I thought it was strange when collazo got the khan fight, and that was years ago, never mind crawford. Khan is a better fight but rather see him in with a porter or garcia, an active top 5 or 6 guy at ww.

He will always have the speed to trouble anyone for a few rounds - so it should be s good watch.

Khan thinks he can just click his fingers anytime and Brook will come running, even if he gets ko'd by Crawford.
