Sounds like team Cashua want Whyte to turn it down so they can go fight fatty in 'Merica.
Neither fight tickles my fanny. Although shutting Miller up would be a relief.

After Miller gets utterly humiliated by Joshua, I see him having a James Toney type career :maybe:

Heres my take...

Joshua should fight Wilder or Fury if the fights can be made in the UK. Cardiff stadium should be the venue....roof closed.

Both of these 2 fights should be marketed as 60/40 (inc ppv revenue) fights in Joshuas favour. AJ has 3 belts and in terms of possessions he is the main man. Any rematch clauses should only be in place if Joshua gets beat by either of the above. The rematch should be 50/50 split (inc ppv revenue). Short term loss for long term gain for both Wilder and Fury if they want to 'snatch' the belts off AJ.

Should the above fight not be made for AJ, the Whyte should be next in the pecking order. This fight is a 70/30 split (inc ppv revenue) in AJ's favour as Whyte brings No1 contender status to the party but no belts/lineal status. Again a rematch clause should be in place if AJ gets beat. Again the rematch should be a 50/50 split (inc ppv revenue)

It seems to me that matchroom have a very rigid PPV model in place with little or no flexibility with regards to the contender. I think they are only offering a fixed sum to Whyte which could be as little as 10% of the purse availiable.

matchroom can then say they have offered the fight and Whyte has turned it down.

Now i like AJ and i like EH but this inflexibility is stopping us from seeing the best v the best.

Thats just my take on it. I have no inside info.

On form today mate , the David Brent analogy is hilarious .

I've been one of Joshua's biggest fans , but it's getting tiresome now .
The silly feckers should put their ego's to one side and make the fights ,
Even the casuals will see through it before long .

I wonder if the Joshua hype train might hit the buffers if this carries on, Wembley in April is a tough sell anyway to the casuals especially if it's another bum type opponent .

SKY seem to have built Whyte up on PPV for this fight and now greed may see it off

No surprise at they have gone low as an opening offer they will be more realistic with it in time it's the fight they want to get done but it might just mean that AJ-Miller will be the fight that Hearn makes in the states he's desperately trying to something 'big ' for Dazn and if he can find something else for Wembley ie Whyte-Wlad then all works out for him.

They won't go Wembley 13th for AJ if it's not Wilder/Fury/Whyte they will go Miller in the U.S. and "another bum type opponent" Parker/Potevkin wern't bums.If they choose Whyte instead of going Miller in the US then they will pay him right(probably not as much Whyte believe he's worth but he getting a shot at 3 belts and it will be a career high payday),this is just an opening gambit while the plates are spinning, they wouldn't expect him to accept it's all part of posturing and negotiation nowadays.

Probably just low balled him as a first offer.

Its called negotiation. Does he expect to be thrown all the money and conditions he wants at the first sit down? Good job he can fight to earn big money because he is thick as shite.

Fair point. It's been a while. Kevin Johnson in 2015. If you want to call Johnson a bum.

Think the complaint is them minimising other fighter's earnings. Particularly if the man responsible promotes both fighters.

Justify this paying less than Chisora for me please.l

I actually like Joshua and have little time for Whyte but this is some shameful shit. Sounds to me like they want an excuse for taking the Miller fight.

It will be a career high purse once the negotiations are complete if the fight is made.
