David Price vs Kash Ali added to this to round off a very decent card.

It just shows we don't need ABC titles to have a good night of boxing. Sure, the skill level isn't going to be some Loma/Linares stuff. But what the heck, I recon it will be fan friendly.

Exactly. Give me 5 competitive all British fights over a card full of prospect vs TBA any day of the week. All 5 fights announced so far are genuinely meaningful.

Completely understand that prospects need to be built up and introduced to the fans. But it doesn't need to take up as much TV time as it currently does. Stick them on between half 5 and 7 and then show them in between fights instead of making us listen to Froch's shite punditry.

A rare opponent that will make Liam Smith come across as a world beater

Nice one Gil.
Of course he ain't fooling anyone on here. I like the fact there is nothing really on the line, it's just a fight for fight's sake. And it should be fun

A fairly lame, predictable mismatch.
Yet at the same time, a fight I'm really looking forward to :box:
Should be a domestic classic ..

This wouldve been a fun scrap a couple of years ago but I fear a mismatch nowadays, Eggington looks done already, he was never gonna be able to maintain that winning record for long when he beat the likes of Malignaggi and Gavin, he just takes far too many shots and doesn't have the skillset to change things up, the last time I seen him when he got stopped from the African fella was bizarre, he was just standing there allowing the guy to leather him and he deserved to get stopped

Smith coming off that tough loss to Munguia, real long hard night for Smith that was but he took his lumps kept trying to fight fire with fire but it was a lost cause, i think he still has too much for Eggington and will stop him around midway, probably break him down with bodyshots or stop Eggington on his feet

probably one of the better cards in 2019 - credit where its due to Edward it took him at the close of Q1 to deliver a decent card

Eggington has for a long time been the poster boy for no head movement. His chin and workfare has got him through this in quite a few fights but I doubt this will be one of them.

Ted Cheeseman needs to watch this fight with interest as he’s heading down the road of being a Sam Eggingon mk2 in the head movement department. It’s not a good way for a long career and in my opinion it limits how far your going to go in your career. At World level you’ve got no chance whatsoever to just keep taking flush shots.

I thought the same comparison after Ted's last fight. Ted was using head movement, albiet some of that was out of range, but he still got hit- a lot.
I hope that Ted does learn better defence, Sam hasn't.
