As part of the celebration for the 56th anniversary of the World Boxing Council, the president of the organization, Mauricio Sulaimán, revealed that they are already preparing a special belt for the upcoming middleweight unification clash on May 4 between Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs.
"We are already preparing the belt 'Adolfo Lopez Mateos' for the weekend of Cinco de Mayo with Canelo-Jacobs and it will be spectacular, it will be difficult to overcome the Huichol belt and the Chiapas belt, but we are excited, '' Sulaiman said to ESPN Deportes.

Alvarez will get the decision whether he deserves to or not. That being said, I do expect he'll be able to legitimately beat Jacobs. Though I expect a close contest. I can't see Jacobs beating him by the kinda margin he'd need to beat him by to actually get the win.
I actually wouldn't be too shocked if Canelo stopped him. It's not what I'm leaning toward, but it wouldn't really shock me.

Abel Sanchez said it's hard to beat Canelo because he gets 'spotted' three points. Man speaks his mind. And the truth.

As of this moment we've only seen one man beat him by decision he had to win all 12 rounds to win on 2 of the 3 cards, and he was the biggest star in Boxing...so yeah
If Canelo had actually won a round or two that night they probably would've given it to him.

it's a great fight. for the unified and ring & lineal middleweight title. (wbo doesn't count for much).
jacobs looked very good v golovkin. canelo looks to be at his peak, and as mentioned is hard to win a decision against and hard to hurt.
but this is boxing. anything can happen. and jacobs will certainly know that he has to dominate to get the win. it should be a great match!
i would have to favour canelo by decision.

It's not going to decision, Jacobs is getting knocked out.
