I can't see Hearns losing this. Too tall; too long; too much power. Briscoe would be hard pressed to get inside. Maybe even early stoppage.

Spot on. This is a job for the motor city cobra.SenorPipino wrote: ↑12 Feb 2019, 18:49 But hurting you and taking you out are 2 different animals.
Hearns could shake Briscoe but he wasn't likely to stop him.
Briscoe did have a tremendous chin. Valdes a pretty decent puncher was the only man to stop Briscoe. And Valdes had to settle for two other decisions over Briscoe.
Monzon twice and Hagler once had to go the distance with him.
Just don't see Hearns turning the KO trick. He would probably adopt a pure boxing strategy against Briscoe and use his physical advantages and superior speed to take a decision.
Hearns wouldn't want a brawl. That was the tough Briscoe's thing.
They didn't call him Bad Bennie for nothing.

You have the same thought as I am in terms of strategies for both Hearns and Briscoe.gilgamesh wrote: ↑12 Feb 2019, 20:22SenorPipino wrote: ↑12 Feb 2019, 18:49 But hurting you and taking you out are 2 different animals.
