I haven't bothered getting tickets yet. Was gonna get a couple during the week when they went on sale but I'm not convinced it's going ahead. If it's still a goer at the end of this month I'll get a couple when I get paid. Cracking fight plus would be good to see Inoue....

Josh Taylor ‘can’t wait to rip belt’ off IBF champion Ivan Baranchyk
osh Taylor has warned IBF champion Ivan Baranchyk that he “can’t wait to rip the belt off” him, after the Belarusian appeared to confirm their world title fight on May 18 was back on.
Baranchyk’s manager had been quoted as saying the World Boxing Super Series showdown at the Glasgow SSE Hydro would not take place, citing financial issues.
However, Baranchyk wrote on social media on Wednesday morning: “I look forward to fighting Taylor”.
The Edinburgh boxer replied: “Can’t wait to rip the belt off you and send you homeward to think again”.
The bout is the penultimate stage of a tournament to determine the new undisputed world super-lightweight champion.
There had been reports that Taylor’s fellow Scot, former world champion Ricky Burns, could take Baranchyk’s place - but Taylor’s trainer Shane McGuigan told Boxing Social that the 25-year-old would be stripped of his IBF title if he didn’t participate in Glasgow.
World number two Taylor has already knocked out American boxer Ryan Martin, while Baranchyk, ranked at No. 10, disposed of Sweden’s Anthony Yigit.
In the other semi-final, Baranchyk’s countryman Kiryl Relikh takes on highly-rated American and WBC interim champion Regis Prograis, who saw off Englishman Terry Flanagan in their quarter-final.

How will McGuigan get his money? Through a new company, his personal account, or cash!

Several boxers took to the media in expressing outrage and threatening legal action over Comosa AG, the tournament overseer failing to honor contractually guaranteed purses. Among them was Baranchyk, the lone boxer among the 12 semifinalists who threatened to withdraw altogether from competition, even amidst the threat of ensuing legal action.
That stance softened significantly over threat of his being stripped of the IBF title, with the sanctioning body hosting a conference call with Baranchyk’s team and Comosa AG earlier this month in hopes of resolving the matter.
Despite the possibility of being benched, Baranchyk maintained his professionalism by remaining hard at work in the gym in preparation for any scenario. He even made the command decision to seek new leadership, cutting ties with former trainer Pedro Diaz and heading to Hollywood’s Wild Card Gym where he is now werking with Hall of Fame cornerman Freddie Roach.
The decision to stay ready rather than having to get ready proved wise. With news of resolution of all matters between his management team and tournament handlers, he can now proceed with peace of mind heading into the biggest fight of his carer.
So, too, can his challenger.
“I’m glad that [Baranchyk] is coming Glasgow to fight,” noted Taylor (14-0, 12KOs), a 2012 Olympian for Great Britain whom advanced to the semifinals following a one-sided 7th round stoppage of previously unbeaten Ryan Martin last November. “Can’t wait to rip the belt off you & send you homeward to think again.”
By the time the two collide, the finalist waiting in the wings will have long been revealed. On the other side of the bracket, unbeaten contender and 140-pound tournament top seed Regis Prograis takes on defending World Boxing Association (WBA) titlist Kiryl Relikh on April 27 in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The World Boxing Super Series semi-finals, including Josh Taylor's first world title fight against Ivan Baranchyk, will be shown live on Sky Sports.
An exciting schedule for the WBSS starts this Saturday, live on Sky Sports, as Nonito Donaire battles Zolani Tete with the WBA and WBO bantamweight belts at stake, while Regis Prograis also challenges Kiryl Relikh for the WBA super-lightweight title in Louisiana.
Taylor then attempts to become Scotland's latest world champion when he takes on IBF champion Baranchyk in another super-lightweight semi-final at the SSE Hydro on May 18, live on Sky Sports.
The cruiserweight semis will be staged in Latvia on June 15, live on Sky Sports, as former world champions Mairis Briedis and Krzysztof Glowacki collide in the last four, and ex-WBA champion Yunier Dorticos faces unbeaten America Andrew Tabiti for a place in the final.
Adam Smith, head of Sky Sports Boxing, said: "I've admired the talent of Josh Taylor for a while and I'll look forward to another red-hot atmosphere in Glasgow as Taylor bids to become the latest in a line of proud Scottish world champions.
"It's wonderful to add The World Boxing Super Series semi-finals to our stacked Sky Sports schedule for the summer.
"The fearsome Naoya Inoue and four-weight champion Nonito Donaire also bring star quality to a tournament featuring world title fights, former champions, and unbeaten contenders, starting this Saturday on Sky Sports."
"I'm delighted to bring these fight nights to Sky Sports and particularly pleased to air the big May 18 card from Glasgow," said Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Boxing Managing Director. "It's a massive chance for Josh Taylor to become world champion and the fight between pound-for-pound star Inoue and Rodriguez is a cracker.

Really interesting that as soon as Matchroom seem to ink some kind of TV rights deal (via Sky) for the WBSS that the Queensbury fighter Tete is injured.

Odd coincidence, eh?
Not sure what he was doing a couple days out from a fight to have damaged his shoulder, very fishy indeed.

Tete has then lost out on some money.
I don’t think their is any coincidence.

He's lost out on both money & the potential to be a unified world champion while possibly putting a stop to Inoue in the process! I don't think it's a coincidence either personally, not good.

Agree but I don't blame folk for being sceptical considering all the nonsense that goes on behind the scenes.

Chantelle Cameron will be back in the ring next weekend.
The lightweight, now trained by Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis and managed by MTK Global, swiftly had her next fight confirmed – back at the Old Ford Road venue in Bethnal Green against Aneesha Basheel on June 28, exclusively live on ESPN+ Stateside, in an official final eliminator for the WBC female lightweight title.
But ‘Il Capo’ will warm-up for her biggest fight to date on May 18, exclusively live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN Stateside, at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

Yeah a lot of locals sell good ticket numbers - remember one selling 800 for Matchroom Show at Hydro.
Can’t expect much when the 2 main events are cracking fights and not likely cheap to put on.
Just looking forward to seeing Inoue live.
