Gazmac81 wrote: 05 Feb 2019, 06:59 The problem now is that because of Sky /Matchroom putting " Regular " fights on Pay per view then a lot of fighters now value themselves a lot higher. if Dylan Whyte wasn't on Pay per view in previous few fights then he would probably jump at the chance for pay per view money v Joshua but he has options now and can fight pay per view vs someone less dangerous and keep it going for a while and still make great money.

Its sky /Matchrooms own fault but folk will continue to buy it as longs as its hyped.
Agreed - good post.
If you regularly put fighters on PPV, whether it is AJ or Dave Allen, you have to pay more for the opponents as well as for the home fighter.
You can't make punters pay for PPV then expect fighters to take small hall money.
It's nuts - the likes of Dave Allen goes on about being on big PPV shows etc. but he boxes at 4 o'clock!

Matchroom surely know that they have created an unsustainable model, but they are not bothered and want to make as much money as possible in the meantime - and at the moment this includes keeping Aaaaaayyyyy jaaaayyyyyy unbeaten.

I am 100% sure that AJ, Fury and Wilder would all love to fight each other - but I can't see AJ fighting either of them.
I would love it if the Fury vs Wilder saga continued till 2020 - Kevin Keegan voice

But in all honesty if AJ wants to be best in his era hw has to make an = split!!!
Equal split? Joshua is apparently gonna get $32m to face Miller...

That’s $8m more than what Fury and Wilder took combined when fighting each other!

Anyone thinking they’ll get 50/50 v Joshua is absolutely dreaming. It’s never going to happen unfortunately.

Joshua is so far ahead of the rest when it comes to making money it’s ridiculous.

A decent guide of a conpany’s value is 8-10 times their profit before tax. Matchroom made £18m profit before tax last year which would put their worth at about £150-£180m.

It’s a bloody good business considering they only employ 70 people.
