I've read a couple of interviews in the past with Lennox and he said he half didn't want to get caught by a sucker punch and half felt sorry for him -at the start he thought it was tactics but then began to realise that his opponent was having a breakdown. He added, that he was the only opponent he ever felt sorry for.
LL never felt sorry for anyone lol he only knew how to feel for himself,remember him saying to larry merchant "think the white shorts got to him,like im a warrior or somethin" haha he had free shits galore on mcall and still couldnt put him away.

Oh, there is nothing humble about Lennox. Even now, when talking aboyt today's fighters he will turn the conversation round to himself and his achievements. He did make that comment about his massive white shorts being intimidating. However, in retirement, I did read a couple of interviews with him in The Observer where he said he a)felt sorry for McCall, b) Rahman was the only fighter he didn't like and, c) Holyfield was the best opponent he ever fought.
