Important to know about Brant, from one who has watched him since he was a young amateur - he has one weight class, and that's middleweight. As an amateur and as a pro, he invariably loses what makes him special when he goes up to SM or LH. He's a totally different fighter at middleweight than at super middleweight. I was at ringside and saw him struggle to beat Marcus Upshaw, who is a middle of the road talent. So throw out the result vs Brahmer as an irrelevant outlier.
Comparing middleweight to middleweight, Brant and Andrade are neck and neck. Comparing their entires bodies of work, Andrade has faced better competition overall, but Brant has the best individual win (Murata). And Brant is still visibly improving, while I can't see that Andrade is.
I say with 60-70% confidence that Brant wins against Andrade.

Agree. Brant is a busier fighter who works harder inside the ring. Andrade would have a tough fight vs Brant.fistic mystic wrote: ↑17 Feb 2019, 10:42 Important to know about Brant, from one who has watched him since he was a young amateur - he has one weight class, and that's middleweight. They both suck, but Brant sucks more. Andrade would take a decision.

Brant is an exciting fighter. I would like him to take that wbo belt from Andrade.

Re: Rob Brant vs Andrade - who would win this fight?
It'd be a good fight. I didn't really have high hopes for Brant after he lost to Braehmer but he's bounced back well. He might not have big power and he's not the best technically but at least he comes to fight.
Andrade's style will be hard to beat but it also makes him hard to watch. I didn't even bother with his last fight. In fact in his fight before that I think I turned it off half way through. He's almost unwatchable. For such a talented amateur he often seems so messy, always leaning away from his opponent and looking off balance. Maybe Brant would just smother him and not let that shite work. It's pretty much a 50-50 at this stage. Andrade probably more talented but very underwhelming.
I think Jermall beats Brant though. Brant still makes a lot of technical mistakes from what I've seen. Pushes his punches out and leaves his feet behind. I think Charlo could really hurt him with the right uppercut, as he did to Julian Williams. Jermall vs Andrade would probably be a snooze fest.
