Sure but do you not think his reasons are a little closer to home?
No, because someone not perceived as being British is never going to be as popular on UK soil as another successful individual that is actually British. Lewis has had thirty years to cope with this simple fact.
Lewis competed for Canada as an amateur. For most of his adult life he's lived in the US and Jamaica. Nearly all of his fights for the final dozen years or so of his career were competed outside the UK. Lennox doesn't even have a British accent. I'm actually surprised that he considers himself as being a Brit. He won't be jealous of AJ's popularity.
Well something is eating him and it seems personal to me.
I'll never forget first hearing of him as a very young and promising amateur. No internet back then and info was scarce. I knew not whether he was tall or short, black or white, boxer or puncher. The only thing i knew for sure was that he was Canadian
I feel that Lewis has an agenda, because he might be biased due to working as a commentator for the PBC. I also suspect that part of the reason is because Lennox is probably fed a lot of confidential information from boxing insiders that he can’t share with the general public.
This means that it is possible that Lewis might have legitimate reasons for his negativity that we aren’t aware of.
Matchroom, Sky and AJ have worked hard to market the Joshua brand to the mainstream masses and there are inevitably certain aspects about Anthony that are never made public, such as his behind-the-scenes activities and persona. Fight fans don’t know everything about the man, but boxing insiders probably know much more.

Well there's no law against speculation but until I see evidence of wrongdoing, I prefer to think the best of people.
It's like all these allegations or whisperings of Joshua taking PEDs. Yes it's possible but the guy gets tested several times a week, has done for years, he's subject to VADA testing as well as UKAD.
None of that rules out the possibility, but as long as he keeps passing the tests then surely you have to accept that he's clean. That has to be the basis of any kind of reasonable justice system, innocent until proven guilty.
So unless Lewis has anything he wants to share I'm just going to regard his comments as sour grapes.

And that’s not an unreasonable stance to take.

CBS owns the Boxing Scene website. CBS also owns Showtime. Deontay Wilder’s fights are normally covered by Showtime.
Need I say anymore!

Maybe, just maybe, that's what holyfield believes. Lol, he's never been a shill. Nobody in America cares who the best heavyweight is.

No disrespect to great Holyfield, but he was talking sh*t just to support his countryman.
