It's difficult to see what he can do to prepare himself for those guys but I think Povetkin is a good start.

That is an excellent fight.

Evander is still my favorite example of a Cruiser king coming up to heavy; the way he was brought along and his career was built I think is the ideal way to do it.

Evander became HW champ at barely 28, so Usyk has a little catching up to do at 32.

But Usyk is his own man, and I can’t wait to see how his career at Heavy unfolds.

Obviously, the Povetkin fight gets him pretty close to top 5 and pretty close to where he needs to be.

you mean huck right, well i mean by the same token huck hurt glowacki way more then huck hurt pov, yet usyk couldnt even drop glowacki

usyk may certanly get an accumulation stoppage though

always thought for a guy with such a good amateur career hunter had gone under the rader, so glad tosee the recent boost in his career, hes good and brings a unique style

When did Povetkin ever fight at cruiserweight? He has always been the same weight ever since he started as a pro in 2005, low 220s, up to 232 on rare occasions. Unlike the american and british dopers who put on muscular weight very quickly. But I also think Usyk will win .

I thought huck clearly beat povetkin but I don't remember him putting him in serious trouble. Even more clearly huck hits harder than usyk. Wide points win is the safe play.

I never said he fought as a cruiserweight, I said he fought a cruiserweight, which he did in Huck.

I remember Povetkin in a bit of trouble late in the fight, mostly due to exhaustion but still. With Usyk it might go the distance, but my bet is a late stoppage with an exhausted Povetkin still on his feet.
