It's just silly, a 150 pound adult men challenging a currently overweight 125 pound fighter and then people are acting like they are amazed that the 150 fighter wins.
A 4 inch reach advantage, a 4 feet length advantage, in the prime of his life and then be proud of this?
Anyone that knows the details should feel ashamed that this fight took place at all. I think the dwarf still did a reasoneble job.
Is it me or did you post this exact same thing on a few other threads...

Let's put it this way. Rocky Martinez put Garcia down. Errol couldn't. Doesn't mean his power isn't good. It is. But he isn't the GGG of the division like they make him out to be.

On the one hand Spence couldn't even knock down Mike, a guy whose best division is probably 130 or 135; though you could also view this as Mike having a strong jaw/amazing defense. You can't really look down on Spence for this either because he he was on a KO streak before this fight. I would say he has slightly above power; maybe 7/10.

He couldn't even drop a lightweight. He's a volume, light-medium puncher. Hard hitters maintain power even against the very best.

Better than average, but not massive power. 7.5.

Thurman probably hits harder (one punch ko power) but when you take in all factors (speed, accuracy etc.) Spence is number uno!

Could be more due to Garcia's ability to take punishment than indicative of Spence's power, which I think is more than good.

A solid 7 or 8. He doesn't have thudding power, but he has power due to his speed, and the precision of his punches. He'll get his share of stoppages. Already has, and will continue to get more. He'd stop Pac or Thurman. Not sure about some of the other upper echelon guys. I think there's a good chance he'd stop Porter. Danny Garcia kinda maintains a defensive posture so it might be harder to stop him, but let's put it this way. I'm sure the inspiration for this thread is "He didn't put Mikey away so he must not have great power"
Ya know guys. Every now and again the guy that loses isn't just some unskilled punching bag. He was moving, and defending, and avoiding the full brunt of the attacks as best he could. Also he's just a tough Champion level fighter from a proud fighting family. You can't stop everybody, and there's no shame in being unable to stop a guy of that magnitude. Especially when you thoroughly defeated him nonetheless.

People here make me laugh. First off, Garcia fought defensively and was trying to make it the distance. His chin also isn't bad at all. So Martinez dropped him at a lower weight. Pacman was stopped a few times at a lower weight. Aside Marquez, he hasn't been stopped, or really hurt bad, multiple weight divisions up. I guess none of the guys he fought could punch? Tyson couldn't stop Bonecrusher smith, but he's been stopped multiple times. That Tyson....no power....
Spence's power is an 8 for me. Whoever thinks he is a volume puncher, or his power doesn't carry up to better fighters needs to stop watching boxing. If Garcia fought to win and not survive, he would have been stopped. Hell, you could argue Robert should have pulled the plug late.....

A volume puncher to me, is Ouma/Calzaghe, types like that. I agree Spence breaks people down and works off of what is given, but for anybody who thinks he has no pop, that's comical.

Anyone who follows boxing knows Crawford won't fight Spence because of promotional rivalries.
Wankers the lot of them.
He fought Felix Diaz, who is promoted by PBC
I want Spence v Crawford, one of the big fights.
If every now and then they cross lines and make a big fight then this should be one of them.
Diaz is nice but it isn't Spence v Crawford.

Of course, but I'm saying it can happen regardless of different promoters because Felix Diaz is a PBC fighter. They have worked together.

Thinking something is more than good is an idea, closer to a belief, but a physical measurement is something else. Failing to even stagger a lightweight is evidence Spence is not a true power puncher. That is not to say that Spence is not -at the least- the second best welterweight in the world. He may be the best welterweight in the world, we just don't know yet until he fights Crawford.

Nah, I'm not the emoticon kind of guy. I've just seen your posts and I'm getting De ja vu, as you remind me too much of some other former and current posters who have, let's just say, similar "styles."
