I accurately predicted how the fight played out. Garcia tried his best, he was moderately competitive during the first half of the bout, until Spence Jr’s size advantage overwhelmed him.
Aren't you special!
Read my post again.
Why?
You merely quoted an extract of my sentiments that can easily be taken out of context, hence the reason why I asked you to read the entirety of my post again.
Challenge what I wrote, not a carefully manipulated misrepresented version of my actual thoughts.
Also, I didn’t just predict a victory for Errol Spence Jr., but I also submitted a lengthy post describing how the fight would play out.
Very few people are willing to put their reputations on the line by accompanying their prediction with a description of how the events of the contest would unfold, but I did.
So, you’re welcome to criticise me as much as you want, but you can’t rewrite history and pretend that I “got it wrong”, when I clearly didn’t.
TBF EO it did come across as "Wasn't I clever to have predicted the outcome?" whereas in reality it was a very easy call and one that most of us made.

You’re attacking me and supporting someone who intentionally misrepresented my sentiments (by arguing against a carefully-selected extract of something I wrote and presenting my words out of their true context), because the troll that you’re defending conveniently excluded the following sentences that were contained within the very same original post:
Enlightened-One wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 17:35Far too many people anticipated the outcome of this bout and it seems extremely disrespectful to Garcia to accuse him of not even trying. Mikey dared to be great but was outgunned by a bigger foe that possessed similar talents.
What exactly do you want from me? Do you want me to apologise for an opinion that I don’t have and never articulated?

I havent seen the fight but it sounds like Pacquiao vs Broner. Now I know I was smart to save my money for Spence vs Pacquiao. That is what they do by raising the price is make me more selective.

What are you going to do with all that money you saved if Pac never signs?

I actually hope he retires rather than take the fight. I don't want him to go out on his back.

I don't think I've ever been called a 'troll' before. Coming from EO/Verlichte/Eolithe is very strange.

I wasn't attacking you EO. I have a lot more time for you than most have on here, I was simply pointing out how your comment came across. You have made many insightful predictions which deserve credit. That wasn't one of them.,

Guys, this is what u get when a top lightweight challenges the to WW. Why are we all surprised? We all thought that the x factor was that Mikey must have seen something that he could exploit. Why else would he be asking for the fight? Mikey had nothing of the sort.
The only thing I can think of is Mikey felt his star would rise by making 12 rounds. It didn’t. It’s something that will affect his historical position in the sport significantly imo.
It’s the opposite of Brook. He jumped up to face GGG and got his face caved in but we all respected him more bc he tried to win and had some great moments before almost dying. Mikey’s stock went down bc he played it way too safe and we all paid good money to see a glorified sparring session.

Mikey Garcia is one of the good guys, I don't think for a second he didn't try to win.
He just got beaten by a better man on the night.
Errol Spence decided to box his way to victory and Mikey just didn't have an answer to it, I don't think there were any shenanigans going on whatsoever, Garcia doesn't strike me as that kind of guy and I didn't see any evidence to suggest he was throwing the fight or not trying to win.

So, Robert Garcia claims that Mikey should continue his career at LWW (as I predicted a month ago).
Mikey earned the life changing money against Spence, and LWW is becoming a very hot/competitive weight division.
Prograis, Taylor, Ramirez, Baranchuk, Postol (and I expect Teofimo Lopez very soon) - not so bad !
There might be so many potential lucrative and competitive fights.

He tried, but was unable to cut the distance for multiple reasons. For starters, he had a poor gameplan. He moved to his right, right into Spence left hand time and time again. He also allowed Spence to be first almost every time, which made it very hard on him. That's with credit to Spence, who had a simple, but highly effective gameplan. Be first with the jab and throw more than one punch at a time. He completely shut Mikey down. And Mikey couldn't or didn't adjust. At the end of the day, Mikey didn't embarrass himself. He was just lost a lopsided fight to the better man. We've see this type of fight before.

Maybe. He could use a LWW belt to setup for a Pac fight. He might get that fight next anyway.
It is the fight I would like to see for both of them and it would be a very good moneymaker.
