OP's second post should have been the clue. LOL, I've seen far worse too!

Yeah that was clearly humorous but that doesn't necessarily make the original a joke post although it seems it was.

I switched to an energy saving brain. Very ecologically sound but more than a little dim

What would you guys think if the boxing associations decided to use age as another way to create more divisions?
For instance, in the heavyweight division ( 200 lbs and up ):
Junior Division: Ages 17-25
Prime Division: Ages 26-34
Senior Division: Ages 35-44
Grand Division: 45-50 ( extra rules in place for safety precautions )
Legends Division: Ages 51-55 ( extra rules in place for safety precautions, along with mandatory headgear and extra padded gloves ).
I hate to say this, but if the IBF, WBA, WBC, and the WBO got ahold of this idea, they probably would implement it, hoping for more revenue streams.

The "Legends Division" would be the biggest joke, attracting old duffers who THINK they can box but who are only
Legends in their own Mind. ![[icon_e_sad.gif] :verysad:](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)

There was something years ago called LBO (Legends Boxing Organisation) and I think Bonecrusher Smith won their title. Also, last year (or the year before) Andreas Sidon beat some ancient British chap for the veterans world title on some BIBA type show.
Holmes beat bone crusher and Weaver in rematches.

I remember those I believe without looking. That they took place in Mississippi in the casinos.
I don't have a problem with old farts wanting to fight old farts.
I do have a problem with promoters matching young up and comers against these old farts just to put a name on their resume
