Brodie is ducking Harrison. Why do you fellas keep on pretending this is not happening???
Personally I think Brodie has a seizure every time he thinks about Harrison. At least Kebede had the balls to step in the ring.
Brodie knows if he fought harrison he would get an embarrasing beating from Harrison. He knows it, his manager knows it and all of you know it. Thats why you all wont even point out that Brodie is in fact DUCKING HARRISON. Go on Brodie pick up the phone and dont be terrified

I agree with you. At this point Harrison would beat the shit out of Brodie who after a few back to back hard fights used up everything he had in the first Chi fight. As the rematch showed, Brodie doesn't have it anymore.

Why is it that Harrison is suddenly so interested in fighting Brodie?... wouldn't have anything to do with Brodie being shot would it???.......

No, it wouldn't. Because Brodie turned down a fight with Harrison TWICE before Chi beat him up. OK?

Maybe something to do with the fact that he wanted to fight for a REAL title belt against Chi?

At his best Brodie was twice the fighter Harrison will ever be! he challenged for real titles, not tinpot ones!. If Harrisons balls are so big he should roll up his kilt and go after Chi rather than the sadly battle worn Brodie!. But he won't ofcourse!... 8)

Brodie cried like an 8 year old girl who couldnt find her teddybear after Chi beat him up and danced in front of his swolen face. Brodie will never never beat harrison and never would have. Brodie was never world class but because you all over-rate Brodie so much he would be a decent name on Harrisons record. Brodie has had a lot more fights than Harrison has had.
Heres a question for you- who was Brodies best win against in your opinion??? Compare that to Harrisons best win- They are in a different class and thats why Brodie would rather avoid Harrison.
END OF STORY
Your bangers and mash must be getting cold by now.

Actually I had Pasta for dinner mate. As for Brodie not being world class that comment just exposes your tunnel vision mate... all the name fighters brave Harrison has fought have been past their bests and many outrightly shot.... name one name opponent Scott the brave has beaten while in their prime!. Granted, Harrison has been handled very well and it has fooled a lot of people but by the looks of things the other night many Scottish fans are cottening onto just how 'real' brave Scott is!... 8)
Now don't choke on yer haggis now!

Not when they are of the WBO variety no!... but world titles used to be the pinnacle of boxing they are what many great fighters dedicated their lives to striving for... now boxings been dragged down to Wreastling.
Brodie was one of the few boxers of this era that dedicated himself to winning a internationally recognised title... he failed but proved himself more of a champion than Harrison will ever be!.
If Harrison ever has the courage to fight Chi then I will applaud him but till then he is just whistling in the wind mate and you know it!.

What bollocks....
First off, for what it's worth, i think Harrison would beat Brodie, I think he's too strong for him and too big too. Brodie is small for a featherweight and looked a lot smaller than Chi.
I think Harrison would beat Chi too, but I don't think it would be easy by any stretch.
So what if Brodie doesn't want to face Harrison? There are plenty of domestic matchups that never happen in this country. is there any need to mention them? When was the last time we saw two of the countries top fighters face one another?
if belts are so meaningless, then why is Scott Harrison's belt mentioned all the bloody time then? Why is the fact that he's got more defences that Watt and Buchanan being talked about if it means nothing?
Belts mean money, that's why they are always mentioned every time Harrison or Hatton defend their titles. They don't say in the presentation, Ricky Hatton fights a 12 round non-title bout do they? Y Why is Calzaghe crowing about having equalled Eubank's record if the belt is so meangingless.
Belts are only meaningless if the quality of opposition during a reign is pathetic. If a fighter holds a belt against good quality opposition it enhances the prestige of that title and that organisation. I think Harrison's reign has been ok so far, but bowling over midget ethiopians certainly does nothing to enhance it.
Belts make fighters money, and that's why there are so bloody many of them.
Brodie had the bollocks to take Chi on in a rematch knowing it would be a hellish ordeal. I hardly think anyone can accuse Brodie of cowardice, what's Chi, a fornicating soft touch?
Who are you to mock Brodie? He showed a lot of bollocks in both fights with Chi, who really mauled him in the second bout.
You get in the ring with In-Jin Chi, you'll be crying within 20 seconds mate.

Scott Harrison disagree's with you. He talked many times how heartbroken he was when he lost his title. A fight with Brodie would mean nothing at this point. The 1st Chi fight took everything out of Brodie as was clear in the rematch. Maybe he did duck him in the past, or maybe instead of a Harrison fight he went for the WBC title twice, and one time before. A more creditable belt than the WBO as everyone knows. The WBO have had a big reputation for their crap challengers in the past. Mger Mkerchian who Calzaghe fought for example was their no.1 contender at supermiddle. Abelyan didn't look up to much to me either, another no.1 contender.

It is really very low and pathetic to make fun of Brodie for crying after his loss to Chi!.... he is a guy with a huge heart who was devastated at failing to acheive his dream and he felt that he'd let doen his fans!... this is a man with integrity, not like brave Scott who walked around crowing away after he'd flattened that poor Etheopian as if he'd just beaten King Kong!.

Brodie has the heart of a lion, so fornicating what if he was heartbroken at losing to Chi, he probably realised that he will never be a genuine world champ now.
His ambition in going for a title, whether or not you believe he is world class, is undoubted. He is a warrior who fell short at the top level, and there is absolutely no shame in that.

Brodie was definately world class, true world class at his best. Especially at Light-Feather where he was at his peak and where he should have been crowned world champion but for one of the worst robberies I've ever seen!. We'd have never heard the end of it if ole Scott was treated to such a decision!.

He was terribly unlucky to get jobbed like that against Jorrin. He should have been a world champ that night.
Jorrin's promoters must have made a few moves because that was a travesty. He then got another very dodgy decision against Larios I think it was, but at least Larios got revenge and fucked him up in 1 round in the rematch.

A lot of you seem to forget that Harrison had fought 2 excellent former world champions before he had reached his 14th profesional fight. Fair enough they were past there best at this point, but how many other British fighters do you see do this nowadays? Dont think Hatton and Calzaghe took anywhere near that type of risk in that stage of there careers, i mean you just have to look at Hattons next victim in nearly his 40th fight before being over critical.
I aint just defending Harrison because he's a Scot (christ i cant stand A.Arthur) but i think a few folk are being a bit harsh on the lad.

PS I seem to remember David Haye deservedly getting heaps of praise for fighting Carl Thompson so soon in his career and knowone can say that the Cat is in the prime of his career.
Posted: 31 Oct 2004, 06:18
by silkov
But Thompson is still a very dangerous puncher... is punching as hard as he did in his prime and also he was coming off a good win when Haye faced him. Harrison took on Patterson and Robinson early in his career but both fighters were on losing runs and a long way from their best. At the time I wouldn't criticise Harrison for those fights as they were fair building up fights at that point of his career, the problem is now that they are looking like the highpoints of his career.... who else has he fought???...... who has he fought in their prime. Harrisons management have become ultracautious since he was upset by Medina, who was well past his best but still managed to upset Harrison.
