Very true. You notice that in their Caracas fight.
But Foreman was only listed as an inch taller than Norton and probably around 10 heavier pounds.
Probably has to do with weight distribution. And when I did see Norton in late 1977, he was a little thicker in the chest than he was when he fought Ali and Foreman in 1973 and 1977.
They used to have life sized photographs of both Ali's and Foreman's clenched fists in the Guinness Book of World Records back in the late 70s.
Although Ali's fists were big, Foreman's were shockingly big. The merest tap would probably knock the average person senseless.

Ali's were somewhat small for a HW. When I was a kid my dad took me to the Boxing Illustrated HOF in NYC. They had fist molds. At the time the largest was Jess Willards, and the second largest was Jack Dempsey.

Funny you say that because as a kid, I thought the man was the biggest; most muscled guy, but now his pics are rather ordinary compared with today's beasts.

He has been naturally well built big man (without PEDs, surely).
I watched some pics (Stevenson and Ali together) not so long ago, and Teofilo has been much bigger than Ali.

Yes, its all relative I guess. When my son was born the midwife suggested he could be a boxer as his hands were large for a baby.
Still, big fists must be a considerable advantage when looking for a knockout.
The Manassa Mauler probably remains the most feted heavyweight boxer to date, a major symbol of the Jazz Age.

From what I can find, Liston's fists are regarded as the largest among heavyweight champions at 15".
Carnera was second at 14" along with Willard.
Dempsey, Marciano and Louis were all 11".
Ali's was about 12"
Fist size however isn't neccesarily a reflection of power if you go by Ali's measurement.

Lennox Lewis. Mainly because if all four fought, Lewis would be the one standing victorious in each bout. That’s all that matters

You sound like one of those "modern" fans who believes that if you're not a 7' 300 lb heavyweight, then you're a munchkin.
Liston was a big man. Everyone who had the fortune or misfortune to see his hamhock fists up close described them as bowling balls.
He would have pounded out quite a few of today's behemoths, even if Liston was, as you say, a "very small man."

"Large heavyweights Best looking physique"
You might be following the wrong sport. Bodybuilding is all about appearance.

Maybe Lennox or Wlad from your list.
Ali maybe had the most harmonious HW phisique, not overbuilt and more like an all around athlete.
Norton was more muscled and chiseled as fornicate.
Foreman was very good proportionated too in his younger days, but bigger than both. He always dwarfed every opponent arms and forearms. He was insane in this aspect. Big fists too.
Liston arms were insane too, very long and heavuly muscled. He kinda reminds me of Hasim Rahman, who has huge arms and fists too. Liston was not tall by modern HW standards tho.

Not right now, AJ would smoke those fools. Prime lewis is probably the goat of HW but both klitschko and AJ would give him a good fight, not much in it. Wheres my boy briggs @?

Now. Are you kidding Lewis is 50. Prime for Prime: Lewis, very closely followed by Vitali (not much in it), Wlad then AJ.

Strictly going off of physiques I'd say Anthony Joshua though I think Wlad had the best physique for a boxer. Joshua is a bit overly muscular, and it slows his punch speed, and probably adds to stamina issues for him a bit, but he's obviously still very fit.
Wlad was powerfully built, but lean which is probably the most ideal type build for a boxer.

I created this thread and i voted for Ajagba and one more person. Ajagba stands straight as a nail , while wlad is little hunched back and chest are tucked in.
Ajagba can easily pack on 20 LBS on muscle.

Now if we dump the gay sounding "best looking physique"... And ask instead what would be the best physique or "build" for modern HW boxing... Well that would be interesting question.
AJ is way too muscular. Makes him slower than what is necessary and also is the likely reason for the stamina issues he seems to have. It will be interesting to see how he coupes if someone can push him all the way with high pace. Or just lot of wrestling.
Wlad was also bit too muscular. He had to converse energy and be on the lookout for that stamina.
Vitali might be the answer we are looking for... Good size. Good power. Great stamina.
Wilder might actually be a good answer too. Hes got the great reach and power. Seems to have good stamina too. If only he could box a little
Fury from hes best days is good example too. Tall and surprisingly fast. No stamina issues... Only lacks bit of power.
Transplant Vitalis chin and boxing IQ on to Wilder... I guess that's the perfect boxer
