In terms of MOST USED venue that'll be Korakuen Hall but how many bouts count as significant is up for debate (maybe 4 world title bouts a year, a few eliminators, a looooot of domestic bouts)

yes i see that now, it's a hard task to make a list of the best fights held in Korakuen Hall but it surely deserves a mention

O2 in London has to be the busiest venue in the UK (and possibly Europe) for big fights.

21/05/11 Degale vs Groves
25/05/13 Froch vs Kessler 2
30/05/15 Brook vs Gavin (poor fight, but huge card)
12/12/15 Joshua vs Whyte
09/04/16 Martin vs Joshua
25/06/16 Joshua vs Breazele
10/09/16 Golovkin vs Brook
04/04/17 Haye vs Bellew
24/03/18 Whyte vs Browne
05/05/18 Bellew vs Haye 2
28/07/18 Whyte vs Parker
22/12/18 Whyte vs Chisora 2
23/02/19 Degale vs Eubank Jr

No real 'superfights' but lots of good fights, particularly at heavyweight

2. A venue that changes names but stays in the same building counts as one venue, like Manchester Arena, which started in 1990s as M.E.N. Arena then briefly became Phones4U Arena around 2013. After P4U company went out of business it became Manchester Arena, which is what it goes by now.
It was actually Nynex Arena when it first opened. It was MEN for a looong time. 2001 til 2012 I think.

People still just refer it as MEN.

Korakuen Hall, Tokyo:

Ao vs Larios
Rojas vs Ao
Li Lee vs Udomna
Ioka vs Navarrete
Yaegashi vs Seeta
Sato vs Kaikanha
Kono vs Wangmuk
Roman vs Matsumoto
Doheny vs Iwasa
Saludar vs Taniguchi

+ 40-50 female world championship bouts

In terms of super fights, Korakuen is clearly NOT a top 25 venue, but their upside is total fight cards per year:

2018: 92 shows
2017: 113 shows

Do you know of another venue ANYWHERE that has over 100 total fight cards per year in this century?

Hmm.. thought it’d be busier.

40 events ain’t too bad for a year. Considering there is 52 weeks in a year.

Korakuen is very much a domestic tier venue, about 2,000 fit in there. Most the cards are relatively small domestic cards, and many of the bigger bouts there aren't even shown live (though are often on tape delay), with some of the Dynamic Glove and SOME Dangan cards shown live, on G+ or Boxing Raise.

Incredibly busy venue, with SOME sort of "combat sport" there pretty much daily (be it boxing, kick boxing or wrestling).

In terms of ACTION it's probably in the top venues (a lot of the Japanese domestic cards have at least 1 fantastic bout if not 2 or 3) and the atmosphere for a good domestic clash is incredible. They don't call it the Holy Ground for nuffink!

I seriously doubt there is a venue anywhere that can match Korakuen as BUSIEST venue in boxing (or as our buddy Boxing Prospect points out, combat sports in general).

Depends on the quality of show. Regularly looks full for the bigger shows (those with a domestic title bout or higher), worst I've seen it is about 60% full.
