At least they have picked a serious athlete first and foremost. The real hype stands for Joshua debuting in USA, Miller can just go away and make us a favour

It’s far from the worst fight that can be made in the circumstances. I do question Ortiz decision to turn it down if he is in shape.
Hunter’s father won some fights at short notice and he’ll certainly come to fight, so who knows?

I think that we all know.
Hunter is not at that level. Certainly not as a heavyweight.
Just a routine "wear 'em down and get 'em out" fight for Joshua.

Chisora weights 259lbs against Gashi today , and weighted 18 lbs lighters against pulev, still UK fans says chisora was not in good shape physically and mentally, then how did he cut so much weight.
UK fans are really something when it comes to defending their country fighters, comments are so biased.

Weight alone isn’t an ideal barometer for gauging fitness levels.
Chisora looked in shape despite his heavier than typical weight.
The word “lighter” is not synonymous with the word “fitter”.

It certainly appears that way. Something in my craw is telling me that Hunter may be able to give AJ fits.

Your craws lying to you.
Hunter may be able to elude punches early and have Joshua reaching and a bit off balance.
But he'll do that without ever getting his own punches off.
Once Joshua figures him out a bit and establishes his own rythym, it will be a matter of how long Hunter can survive.

We'll see. Hunter may be the best pure boxer that AJ's faced. I think it'll be interesting.

The choice won't go over well.
He was a cruiserweight until last year.
Usyk can get away with it. But not a guy who lost to Usyk.
How did Hunter get so big so fast?
He started as a heavyweight. He isn't bigger, just not cutting weight. Hed be competitive with most, just not aj.

Heck, Joshua is still fighting the best opponent of the big 3. I think hunter is better than Miller, but Miller carries the unknown aspect that made it more intriguing.

He's probably fighting at his walk around weight from his CW days. I think he can make AJ look bad, but he'll still lose. Actually could be a great in-ring experience for AJ vs a really elusive and decent boxer/puncher.

Okay guys, but I expect a fairly non competitive rout come June 1.
Hunter's decent. Solid. But he doesn't fall into the "special" category.
Once Usyk decided to flip his gears against Hunter, it was pretty one sided.
Just don't see him getting any business done against Joshua, but hope always sells fights.

Joshua is the only active heavyweight anyone could deem special. Not exactly a checkmate point.

That's debatable. Joshua is solid but doesn't have that special quality.
I'll never be surprised if he's upset.
Wilder is special. Special power.
Fury is special. Defensively.
No one has the complete package that makes up a superstar.

A special quality is just that. Randall Bailey had special power, doesn't make him a special fighter. Unless you just meant hunter doesn't have one special attribute to trouble Joshua. If so, I agree. He could beat fury.

Some guys can be described as special fighters.
Dominance against top fighters over a long period indicates a special fighter.
No one fighter has ever been special in every possible category of skills.
But it's the overall accomplishments that dictates his designation as special.
Chavez certainly wasn't special when it came to defense or speed. But who would dispute that overall he was indeed special.
Mayweather was no powerhouse puncher, especially at a higher weight. But he was undeniably special.
I don't see anyone at heavyweight who is blanket special.
Perhaps Usyk will gain that honor. Time will tell.

I'd be enormously disappointed if I purchased a ticket, hotel and flights and ended up with this as a main event.
Just 12 months ago Hunter was boxing a 6 rounder against a guy with 40 defeats and 7 draws.
Is this a joke ?
I'm serious about that too.

I honestly don't think Hunter is that much worse of an opponent than Miller. Joshua vs Miller was always going to be ridiculously one sided anyway. It's still only a question of how long the opponent will last, until the inevitable happens. Being big with a bit of stamina doesn't make you an interesting opponent.
