Time to use the Joe Gallagher tactic of high guard and absorb punishment from the outside - after 3 rounds Allen will throw that looping right connecting on the scouser!

He didn't say that did he?? That's fuckin ridiculous!
I was astounded that Crolla ended up in the same ring as Loma and Crolla was an ex world champion! Letting AJ loose on Allen should be followed up,with criminal charges!!
He said it, but it was based on what ifs, if he beat say Price and then Parker or Povetkin, he did say he didn’t think he’d get past a Parker or Povetkin though. He looked in good shape to be fair, takes way to many shots though to get past the top boys IMO,

The reason is probably so ridiculous (even for the WBA) that I erased it from my memory, but how did Charr manage to keep his title after failing a drug test last year?

I couldn't tell you! But with the title he is a step up the ladder for anyone without a title

Hmmm, maybe some people needed a second look at how shot Browne is after Whyte
It quietly amuses me that Allen put Browne to bed a lot quicker than Whyte

Because we never learn

On here we always look past boxers being well past their best and give them the benefit of the doubt, even despite the evidence to the contrary. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve backed a clearly shot fighter because ‘they should still have enough in the tank’

I never doubted an Allen victory. He won it better than I thought however as I predicted a points win. After Browne's trouble with Kamil Soko it was never in doubt.
Even during the MCs announcement Browne didn't look like a boxer who had the confidence or interest to win. Also 40 years old can't help matters.

Does Lucas Browne wear makeup?
Not really relevant but he has a bit of an eyeliner look most of the time.

Probably part of his "tattooed penis" look.

I'd like to see this run continue and Allen to stay motivated. Price next I think that's one of the more interesting matxhups at heavyweight. Then Mabey char for a communal "world title". If he Beats them he kinda has to fight Someone ranked or a name/ex name. Or skip that and fill in vs aj in June haha

He'll get Price next and beat him too. I just hope he doesn't get grand illusions about competing on the world stage.

He just beat an ex World champion. Let him have a shot at the EBU title, Chisora and Price wouldn't be a bad scrap either.

LOL Ex world champion! EBU would be fine when he gets past Price. He deserves a decent payday. I'd just like to see him after a few more fights with proper training camps and see what he is really all about before making any drastic moves.

David Allen needs very careful match making. Price is a winnable fight because the scouser has issues with stamina and punch resistance. According to BoxRec, Dave is ranked #22 in the world and I would pick every single one of the 21 guys above to beat him if they fought. I'd even pick Helenius who is carrying numerous injuries. Almost all of the guys in the top 50 beat him, so the matchmaking needs to be risk vs reward. Anyone with a name of a decent title. Price or Briggs, then Charr for me. Another fight I like for him is Adamek, who would bring in a load of Polish fans, especially in London.
I'm really enjoying Dave Allen's journey, but it ain't gonna last too long.
