It used to be how things were done, top prospects from the UK facing off for the title, - it's surprising because it so seldom happens now, especially at heavyweight,.

The domestic heavyweight scene is arguably better than at any time since Henry Coopers pomp.
Yeah massive Kudos to Joyce for taking it! The fight has a throwback feel to it. So many good UK prospects not facing it other in order to “build the fight” then it never happens or happens when they are both past it.

Interesting, I just see it completely the other way. Joyce has done well enough but he looks painfully easy to hit. He seems to be all engine, fitness and work rate to me - which is fine for the level he’s been competing at but I think Dubois is a bit special - not necessarily the next dominant heavyweight champion but def euro level and beyond.

Still I thought Price could (maybe even would) win a world title so what do I know

I hope that this fight comes off.

This is the type of fight that befits such a prestigious title - in my opinion the likes of Dave Allen the plodder should not get anywhere near the Lord Lonsdale Belt.

Hopefully we'll find out soon. I agree about Stiverne, but i think Adam Booth will make him a lot more selective. I think Dubois has looked easy to hit and I've heard gym tales of a vulnerable chin. Either way, it'll be a cracker if it they actually step in the ring. I'll be going to it, unless it's on Mars,

With the news that Joyce has signed with Warren I believe that JJ will box for the Euro and then chase WBA regular whilst Dubois boxes whomever the BBBoC designate next in line for the British.

Wouldn't it make that fight more likely???

Only in boxing would it make it more likely at the same time as it is also less likely

Did wonder if he’d put Joyce v Gorman together for July ?

He’s got July 13th Show - calling it “Heavy Duty” of IFL video ?

Aye I’d agree with all of that, just how solid Dubois’ chin is will be a key factor.

I can see Joyce v Kabayel being made in the summer instead now ( good fight to be fair) possibly leading to Gorman v Dubios becoming the British title fight in the Autumn? Dubios vs Joyce for the British and Euro would be even better down the line I suppose?

It'll be all three of them against TBA, with Joyce given the most dangerous borderline washed up name fringe contender. No way does Fwank sign the three most promising emerging UK heavyweights and then sacrifice them to each other. I can see Joyce-Charr being the headliner.

For me this would be the sensible thing to do. I think FW is easily capable of putting them all in world title fights before they lose or fight each other.

Did you see him last night? He looked a bit ropey IMO.

Ummm I wouldn't say ropey, just his strategy was devoid of defence.

I'm sure against better opposition it won't be so gung-ho.

I'll probably go. I don't think I've watched any of them live yet. So long as the opponents aren't too terrible...
