Helenius can be a decent fight for a lot of the guys at hw. Just wasn’t up to it against Whyte that’s all.
he got brutally knocked out by Johann Duhaupas

Helenius will get beaten down by Kownacki. So he beat Erkan Teper, so what. He had two tough fights with Yury Bykhautsou. One a scheduled six rounder! It's an easy win for Kownacki to pad his record before fed to Wilder sometime later this year.

Called this the same about a year ago when Kownaki was pushing into the top 15.
The management of Wilder is so obvious
Disappointing really

My opinion is on this fight is more on my distaste for Helenius rather than giving credit to Kownacki. Kownacki is fun to watch but fringe contender at best.

Well, I'll definitely watch it. Helenius has some good resistance, so even if Kownacki breaks him down, it should be a good test.
But yeah I would have preferred him take on someone like breazeale, and Whyte have been given the Wilder mandatory.
Plus, I think Kownacki comes across as a really likeable guy (tho not a reason in itself). So I don't really have an issue with a helenius fight

But his last fight was a good KO win over Taper. I don't really like to see this fight because I like them both, but at this point in H's career K should win it pretty easily I would say.

Helenius is better than Szpilka and Washington. Helenius would be among the best wins on Kownacki's resume. Also a productive fight, considering that Kownacki struggled with Martin, who is around the same caliber as Helenius.

I am not trying to be a smart aleck here or anything, but do you know him/his training regiment?
I find it hard to believe he does any kind of serious roadwork.
He has some of the best stamina of any heavyweight. He threw 141 punches in 4:09 against Gerald Washington. It's pretty unlikely that he doesn't do cardio.

More recently, Helenius knocked out one of Duhaupas's conquerors.

Teper is a juicer and a bum, since he got caught he losses every meaningful fight (Wach, Hammer, Helenius + totally unknown fighter from Greece called Evgenios Lazaridis got robbed against him.) a win over him is meaningless, he's probably not even top 100 at this point.

Teper defeated Duhaupas, Duhaupas knocked out Helenius, time changes fighters (Teper is like 38 yo i guess) + he was a juicer, since he got caught he losses every fight except against 8-13 type of opponents.
i'd favour Szpilka over Helenius + Szpilka recently sparred with Helenius and Ustinov, he rated Ustinov higher than Helenius. i think that Szpilka, Washington and Helenius are on the same level.

Helenius promising career was derailed by injuries, awful promotion, and lack of facilities/opportunity perpetuating apathy.
When Helenius is on he'd be a hard out for any current heavyweight. He quit caring for a while and his weight and results show. He'd been sparring no names out of some garage in Finland, and I'm sure that isn't the best situation for a top level fighter. Some of his social media posts are almost depressing when you see him posting about a great day of sparring and his partners look like investment bankers.
For this fight he will be coming off his best win in almost ten years, and has been sparring with Deontay Wilder.
It won't surprise me one bit to see 19-1 on Kownacki's resume after this fight.

he should win but hes just not good enough to where i think its defo easy work, as i said he got sent to the hospital by kiladze and just barely got over the line vs martin. helenius was at least hurting whyte early and may be a lot more durable then the loss to duhaupas shows (whyte never came close to stopping him for example)
if helly is motivated he can cause kownacki some issues, this is becaus kownacki himself isnt really that good, not because i rate helly

Kownacki is not that good, I agree, but he'll maul Helenius.

Boxing math rarely works, but the closest opponents to Helenius size wise that Kow has faced are Martin and Washington. Both are absolutely terrible and Kow still struggled with Martin. Helenius has a better jab and more power than anyone Kow has faced so far. He also has heart and a good chin. I think this is a terrible "keep busy" fight for Kow and am still very doubtful it happens. There are much easier guys to keep busy for Wilder on.

Maybe so but I'd still be shocked. He went 14 tough rounds with Yury Bykhautsou. Kow could fight someone easier, but I doubt he'd have much trouble with The Nordic Nightmare at this point.

Whyte is not much (if any) better than Kownacki.
