I think I remember last year Price saying it's an insult to be fighting Allen and now Allen might even be favorite. The worst kind of opponent for Price is someone who can take a punch and keep hanging in their. Which is Allen's best attribute.

I thought Kash Ali had Price beat going into the round that he got DQ in. If Allen is still in there in round 5 then it's all over for Price. My prediction would be an Allen stoppage win round 6.

They all landed and are levels above a shot David Price - he’s gone at the game and is going to get seriously hurt.

Yea on twitter when price was linked to a fight with allen he said "this is a new low for me" and now he's fighting him as the underdog

Yeah Yoka didn’t get Allen out of there until the last. We know if Price is in the 10th or 12th round he will likely be breathing out his anus.

I do like Allen in this fight I think he will prove in the next few years to be a bit better than what a lot on here think. People overdo it and say he is area level. He’s clearly better than that for fornicate sake. I can see him getting a shot at one of the better British prospects/established names and upsetting the apple cart a bit.

I’m not sure he’s much better than that though. He’s not good enough to win a British imo. He got the corpse of Browne and was looking jank before the very good body shot.

He’s now getting the corpse of Price. I’m hoping the big fella can produce something resembling his best and end the Allen fairytale before we end up with something silly. As much as Allen is a likeable fella, he’s not got too much going for him in the ring. We’ve seen what he can do against the also rans, he was a punchbag for a going through the motions Whyte and Ortiz.

In the 5th v Kash Ali he’s already tiring badly.

Great test for Allen to see if in proper training he can learn something and bring it into the ring. He's still a young heavyweight and while he probably won't ever be more than UK level, I like his progression to this fight and favor him to KO the fading Price.

maybe underrated dave (who actually was favourite vs browne) could finally beat lenroy thomas in a 3rd try at it. btw, i think at least b4 browne hed done nothing to show he was above area level...what was there?

I don't think Allen ever beats a Dubois or a Whyte and I like him very much. I know you're not saying he can, just adding my two cents.

I don't think Price has anything left. Allen is a big step up from Kash Ali.

When Price was coming through and at British level he would've stood Allen on his head. Allen could beat this version of Price. Allen is as tough as they come and could very well get to Price. When he does get to him then you'd have to fancy Allen to take him out. His body shot against Browne was pretty impressive.

I was just looking at their respective records there - mad how many drug cheats are on there. Thompson, Teper, Povetkin, Whyte, Yoka, Ortiz, Browne.

People can talk about Price having huge power, but we haven't seen much evidence of that in his last couple fights. Seems he is getting a touch gunshy in his twilight years.

Unless he can turn back the clock and show some of the fire he had early in his career, I feel Allen might just wear him down.

Allen is nothing special, but solid domestic level. If he had got a shot at Sexton he could have won the British title. unfortunately, the guys currently in the running may be too much for him (Joyce in particular would be all wrong for Dave).

I mentioned that,not as if he has been flattening guys on a regular basis,he hasn't ko'd anyone half decent for years and he has declined a lot since then anyway.

Good luck to Allen. He’s gonna get another good training camp in. Hopefully Darren Barker, can get his bodyguard, I mean training license and actually be in his corner too.

I can’t see past an Allen stoppage win, I don’t think Price has it in him anymore to take Allen out with a single shot and certainly not the stamina to wear him down...

If allen is still there at the end of the fourth which he should be going to lump on a allen ko/tko.

I reckon he'll lose all of the early rounds but big pricey can barely lift his hands up after 5 rounds these days and i reckon allen will put it on him and get him out of there.

i wonder if there will be a minor bauble for stake?
