Hight/reach wise, Canelo is a midget compared to Jacobs. I doubt that his jabs will be reaching the target. Getting close and going to the body is his only hope, but will Jacobs let him get close? I doubt.

Remember how Canelo was following Lara like a confused puppy. The difference is that Jacobs will be countering harder than Lara.

GBP has been matching Canelo very well post-Lara/Trout. This is all hype. Jacobs is too much for him. Stylistically, it's a horrific fight for Canelo.

Honestly, I wouldn't put it past Monroe Jr. to dominate Canelo either. Monroe Jr. and Jacobs are just stylistic nightmares for Canelo.

I just feel that those that possess particularly harsh derogatory opinions, whilst aggressively criticising others for their thoughts they passionately disagree with, often choose to remain strangely silent when the cold harsh truths of reality ultimately prove them wrong.

I wanted to encourage those that previously articulated bizarrely abusive opinions to admit to being forced to revise their thoughts.

If I can admit to being wrong on certain occasions, then I see no reason why others can’t do the same.

The thing is though, those that hate Canelo flatly-refuse to recognise his pugilistic talents, which seems to be a preposterously obscene thing to do.

Why do you think Boxing_rocks refuses to address his own comments?

There is no doubt that Jacobs was by far the bigger man and it reflects well on Canelo that he was able to win against a bigger man of Jacobs' quality. It would have been even more impressive without the rehydration restrictions.

It's a shame that the controversy over the judging (Golovkin was clearly robbed first fight, and had a right to feel hard done by in the second) and the beef has prejudiced the opinion of a lot of people, myself included, against a really good fighter.

I'm warming to him but I'd like to see him fight away from Vegas. It must be a huge psychological advantage to know that you almost can't lose provided you are still standing at the end. Nothing wrong with this latest win though, let's be clear about that.

Big deal. An infinitesimal amount of a substance that was so trace that the Nevada Commission ruled it was consistent with accidentally eating tainted meat.

The same amount of the drug found in millions of everyday Mexicans.

Absolutely nothing there. No evidence whatsoever that Canelo was juicing at the time of his fights. None.

Canelo didn't become the Face of Boxing and handed a record sports contract because anyone with a clear mind believed for a second that he was dirty.

Trying to falsely discredit Canelo is a fruitless endeavor. No one really pays attention any longer. The story is as stale as yesterday's leftover oatmeal.

What does that mean? He's "on the windup?"

And for your information, I wasn't the only one shedding tears over Canelo's stylistic greatness.

A gentleman sitting near me at the Mexican sports book Saturday was actually sobbing and shaking as he watched Canelo's defensive masterpiece.

He said he hadn't seen such artistry since the days of his beloved Miguel Canto.

I agreed through my own tears and we shared a Negra Modelo in tribute to two Mexican icons.

Exactly what has it accomplished? He's the biggest star in the sport and the richest. Wildly successful.

Attempting to discredit Canelo Alvarez is like shooting spitwads at a battleship.

A fruitless endeavor.
