He wasn’t a true champion. His whole career was consisted of lies, contradictions and gifts.
Facts and now we know who was running from who!!!!

It was so obvious from him.

He’s missed out on a payday potentially worth $30m.
And if Ruiz Jr. replicates this feat towards the end of the year, then Wilder would have missed-out on the biggest payday of his career, because AJ’s stock would have dropped and could never recover two back-to-back losses to the same man.
Yup. Probably Wilder is more happy to have his '0' intact than to make big money. lol

There is only one case (not a gift, but might have been a gift) - official scorecards against Povetkin before the KO. This was really disgusting.

He didn't. Wilder's a "shmo."

i think that this scenario (losing to an underdog who is outside of the ''big 3'') is waiting for Wilder as well. he already has one loss as well, but of course losing to Fury on points isn't as embarrasing than being knocked out by Ruiz.

and a premature stoppage vs Takam, but of course he would win this fight anyway.

A gold medal that he didn't deserve
A promoter who could afford to buy out Charles Martin
Home advantage in all the fights up until last night.

Wilder's words are basically out of anger at himself imho because he's kicking himself in the ass right now thinking, "I could have done that and made $30 million dollars doing it." Now he's salty.

Yes, Takam would have been defeated, surely.

I'm no big AJ fan, but all these posts on AJ's resume dissection are silly. AJ dominated every fight (even Parker) and against some top opposition. We can't take any of that away from him. He just got exposed for his flaws by a well schooled Ruiz who executed his game plan near perfect. AJ's not done by a mile. He'll be back if he wants to. At worst, he's the fourth best HW out there and I'd favor him over Ruiz in a rematch (especially if he changes trainers).

I'm betting that it will still be a big big fight late next year or 2021.
Time will smooth over Joshua's defeat and negotiations should be easier. Less ranting by Wilder. Less insistence by Joshua that he deserves the lions share of the purse.
Of course this is all dependent on Joshua regaining the belts this year from Ruiz, not a sure thing.
And then there would undoubtedly be the matter of Ruiz demanding a rubber match if the Brit is victorious the second time around.

he didn't dominated Wlad though. of course he won by KO and i agree that he had the best resume out of the big 3, be he wasn't looking unbeatable

Didn't say he looked unbeatable. Just saying we shouldn't discount his accomplishments.

Spot on.
A lot of people are dancing on Joshua's grave, but I think it's too early to write his career obituary.
I'll admit to having a very slight reservation due to the fact that Ruiz Jr looked to have written the perfect blueprint to beat Joshua and he has the perfect style to execute that blueprint, but you have to remember that Joshua is only 29 and he needs to be given time to prove himself again & I think he will, as he won't take Ruiz lightly again.

Agreed. It was too early to declare him an ATG and it's too early to bury him. My only concern for AJ is his mental and emotional state. We'll see in time if he's resilient in that area. He said all the right things last night, but he was still stunned and confused. The next few days will be telling for him.

I'd be gutted if I was Wilder he could of signed with dazn for 100 million for 3 fights a few months ago now he won't get 5 mill a fight the golden goose is gone

though on the other hand, this could make wilder happier to not have signed with dazn, the big part of that was the aj fights and look what just happened

That is a great point. I don't feel too sorry for any of them financially.
