That’s actually quite condescending to a number of fans who have thought for some time (myself, since the Whyte fight) that Joshua is an accident waiting to happen.

The hype (which has been considerable and constant) has been exposed and there will forever be question marks about Joshua regardless of whether he wins the rematch or not.

If he comes back and wipes out the division and beats everyone there is to beat then he deserves all the credit in the world. However, given his unexpected and dramatic destruction against such an unfancied opponent, it’s really not surprising that massive question marks are being asked of Joshua.

I was extremely glad and surprised that Fury got up in the 12th. I wasn't as happy ten minutes later when Wilder got a hometown decision draw. Still, if the fight had been in the UK I daresay Fury would have got the benefit of any doubt on the scorecards too.

Condescending? I think not. I was in the camp of AJ being grossly overrated. Called him Frank Bruno 2.0. If you are not of that group I described in my other post, then you have nothing to get your panties in a bunch about. I'm a Wilder fan, but I don't like fans turning on a fighter after holding him up as the best, not only today, but Top 10 all-time and such. just go into History and dig up the poll threads from before the loss. I saw the same thing happen to Lewis after both of his losses. Same rhetoric about being exposed. Geez there's even a thread where folks are picking Haye over AJ! I find it humorous. Get over it.

I am still a big fan of AJ and Wilder. I have been a fan of Fury prior to his failing to give Wlad the rematch he deserved and his hiding his fat, drunk, drugged up ass behind mental problems. Oh, and his fans are the most annoying since the infestation of Pacmites about a decade ago.

Now, he has a serious diarrhea of the mouth issue, and he is fighting a poor excuse for a bar bouncer in the Elvis Wedding Chapel.

Top it all off with his fights being a great remedy for insomnia (unless he is fighting Wilder) and there ain’t much left to like.

Fury has taken a U turn as he was supportive straight after the Joshua v Ruiz fight.

That said, Joshua was pitiful that night. No focus during the fight. No substance, in the face of resistance. No flexibility, no ideas. He actually looked as confused in the cornerbwtween rounds as James Toney versus Roy Jones... No rally. He demonstrated utter bemusement, vs a poor man’s Chris Arreola.

I think the superstar athlete boxers don’t really have “it.”

Good post, but he stunk the joint out vs Wilder too. I'm impressed he got up, but not as impressed i would have been had he he... you know.... sat down on a punch or 2.

I agree with him. Joshua might be finished, but straight after his loss Fury told him to regroup and come again. If i didn't know how publicity worked I'd suggest he was bipolar.

Funny thing is, after getting up in the 12th (a round that he claims he can’t remember), he was actually sitting down a bit on his shots.

No need to bring nationality into it, or trying to give me character summaries - LOL!

I only tend to watch Joshua fights when they’re good action fights & and I give him credit for the good (rallying to stop Whyte & Wlad after being badly hurt) & will be critical for the bad, to maintain perspective & keep things balanced.

If I have an agenda it’s that the fighters of privilege such as Joshua aren’t fighting enough or aren’t showing enough hunger.

That said, a dramatic heavyweight contest, a round of the year candidate & also upset of the year.

Arreola and Ruiz are both talented guys with solid basics and good physical strength who could be far leaner and more efficient. Ruiz did something very solid but also basic to beat Joshua - when Joshua opens up, counter with two shots, not one. Joshua can handle one shot counters, just about (Whyte, Wlad). But a right hand followed by a left hook renders him useless and bewildered until put out of his misery.
