"Bees" was surely a typo for "bears". :TU:

Welsh Boxing don't need a directive from AIBA....

From the England Boxing Rulebook, a change made when AIBA allowed national federations to make reasonable amendments: 9.5.1. For domestic boxing, boxers do not have to be clean shaven.

Carroll's beard in that fight was ridiculous.
It was. Off the top of my head Kimbo Slice still had a huge beard during his brief career. I think Broner had one too recently.

I remember reading about Mike Rossman back in the 1980s, a former world champion who turned up at a weigh-in sporting a full beard. A suspicious doctor checked him thoroughly and discovered a cut under there. Guess he needed the money.

Pretty sure it’s nothing to do with an advantage of cushioning a punch; it around safety and hygiene in case of a cut.

Sparred a lot with and without a big beard. Does fornicate all believe me

I can’t even believe the argument of obscuring the jaw line. Someone’s chin is at the bottom of their face, you wouldn’t forget that.

Hygiene etc. Seems sensible enough. It’s funny how the fashion changes and now it’s a big issue.

Sporting a beard is the correct term, I believe. Unless you are suggesting that he pays his wife a stipend to help mask his homosexuality.
I thought Khan's wife was a man?

Didn't Orlando Cruz have a girlfriend at one point? If so, her.
