Dripping with sarcasm, yes, but beating Brown, Helenius and Chisora doesn't warrant a title shot. Beating Parker might have.
you agree hes earned a shot dont you

Even though I think Whyte deserves a shot, doesn't make me agree with that posters argument for it.

Yes you're absolutely right.
He deserves no credit for beating bums like Browne, Helenius, Chisora or even Parker who lost his last two fights against top ten opposition He shouldn't get a title shot without first beating Rivas, Ortiz and Fury whether they want to fight him or not. Assuming he gets past them then he he should be made to fight a final eliminator against 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment.
In the meantime the title shot should go to someone who's actually worked hard to deserve it, someone like Kownacki or maybe Molina
Yeah because Browne, Helenius and Chisora are particularly relevant fighters anymore.
I give him credit for beating Parker, but Browne for instance just lost to a guy who wasnt good enough to win a commonwealth title.

A win over Rivas (if Whyte wins) is a solid win and would make his case stronger.

When Whyte fought Browne, Browne was undefeated. He had come from behind to knock clean out Ruslan Chagaev in his hometown in the former USSR to take his WBA lesser belt. Browne was rubbish but Dillian didn't know that. He thought he'd be facing a serious opponent. Before the fight many people saw it as 50/50. It may not have been a great achievement as it turned out, but at least give Whyte credit for taking on an unbeaten puncher who hadn't lost his belt in the ring. You can bet if Dillian manages a demolition job on Oscar Rivas it'll be all about how sh1t Rivas was, nothing about Whyte's triumph in what was seen before the fight as a 50/50ish kind of match-up.
Chisora isn't a top contender but unless you can move well he is guaranteed to give you a tough fight as I'm sure Carlos Takam is now only too aware. He's very comparable in terms of quality t o Christian Hammer who is Luis Ortiz best win - at least in the last four years. Luis is getting his second title shot in a little over a year having beaten Hammer as well as Kauffman and Cojanu neither of whom are as good as Helenius.
Helenius isn't great despite once being talked about as successor to Klitscko (hard to believe now I know) but he represents the kind of fringe level contender that has been Kubrat Pulev's diet his whole career and which has pretty much permanently cemented him into the top 6 to 8 in the world.
The Parker win was controversial and very hard fought, you could make a case for Parker winning that fight but let me ask you this : Leaving aside Hughie and Ruiz because you can't choose your opponent if you're challenging for a particular belt, who has had the courage to face Joseph Parker?
It amazes me. All you Whyte-bashers on here. He is a good fighter not a great one. He is also about the fightingest man in the division. Why can't you embrace this rare phenomenon of a warrior who will fight anybody instead of nit-picking his every move while giving a pass to the faint-hearted. You are boxing fans, yes?

This is just media-drama.
So much of it, but then again it is a way too sell fights for the future.

Whyte is usually a guy who doesn't duck anybody, but I can see what he is thinking here.
Whyte has done more than anyone to deserve a title shot & his fight with Parker was hard & close; in fact, I believe that if the fight was 20 - 30 seconds longer, Parker might have got a TKO as Whyte was completely exhausted.
It would be a good fight for Parker, because if he wins, then he's straight back to the front of the queue & it's a fight he nearly won, so why not for him?
Whyte, on the other hand does not need it.

In fairness though mate, who has Rivas beaten aside from Jennings?
Jennings fight against Joyce will be more telling for me as to the legitimacy of Rivas's win over Jennings.
