Oh come on, Chamberlain all the way.

He once beat a close to prime Ali by signing to fight him, even though there was no fight.

Lee could never do that.👍🏽
:D Yea but Bruce Lee made three, not one, but three fight movies, and won them all. Did Wilt the Stilt ever do that?

We keep this up we're going to become part of the problem. ;-)

The Rocky Balboa post actually spooks me a bit; I'm still not sure if the posters understand that they are movies.

It is putting me off coming here. I mean now and again it's fun, but these things dominate the pages.
This

Well put. Putting me off visiting the pages too.

Largely why I don't even read the sub forum any more. Unless a topic at the top catches my eye,

Clear message being sent here. Anyone listening? Give the mythicals their own sub-forum

Wow! A sub forum has been created, as suggested. Well done Boxrec! I hope that everyone who enjoys these mythical matchups continues to do so here. Have fun.

Hey cool we got a Mythical Matches section now huh? I can dig it. It's sorta it's own category. Actual Boxing History is different than "What if" scenarios.

Great stuff, thanks to whoever did this. Everyone's happy.

The pressure is now on to be interesting on here though...☹

I think unlike politics & religion & race forum, this'll be dead in the water because mythical matches make sense when involving historical fighters--- it makes more sense to be in Boxing History.

I see no issue with it. It just gives a separate outlet to people. Some people aren't of the mindset to discuss what if's, they just like to discuss what was. Those people are who Boxing History is for. Mythical Matches is for the What if's of the world.

But "history" is something that has already happened, a real event, not a made up situation. I think having it as a sub forum is a great idea.

In the meantime the boxing history section is littered with yet more mythicals. I am on the verge of quitting this place. I can't take any more!

Ahh, just the proper place for a myriad of possibilities to be gathered and to be reflected upon, discussed and admired.

A very special zone, for the hypothetically prone.

My grandfather (born in Lincoln's day) would often chant.....
"A place for everything, and everything in it's place."
I'm suspecting he'll be haunting this forum from time to time.

Life is good.

We just have to constantly remind folks of this new place for all their crap. Don't leave us. You're far too valuable.

The mythical matchups are the majority of the threads there. It's not like they're pushing historical topics to the next page. No issue awith separation as I think I've answered every hypothetical match by now, but it's a slow section anyway.

In triplicate. :OhYes: Soon we can have a new section on Vitali Klitchko and his 'greatness.' We haven't chatted about that enough yet.
