Because he was stripped during his injury.. (i think)

I hope Hatton does get his shot. Despite all the dissapointment in his career so far, I would forgive everything to see him take on Tszyu.

regarding his potential Hatton is one of the best boxers in Europe. but he has to go for the real belts and kick some yanks´'ass. after that he can go for Konstantin Tszyu.

Bear this in mind however. Who has Arturo Gatti beat at light welter to justify his shot at Tszyu? Light hitting lightweight Dorin, Mickey Ward?
It's not about deserving a shot, it's about earning a shot, which are two different things.

i thinkl tis what will happen Bubi though I dont think hatton will get to Kostya b4 he moves up to welter.
either on purpose or not, I dunno.
reckon he will fight dfor the vavant IBF while Kosyta moves up or is made super champ.

Yeah Mayweather can't even draw in his hometown, let alone anywhere else. And I really doubt Tszyu, at this stage of his career, wants to go chasing round after Floyd for 12 rounds.....
Gatti is a draw, no doubt about that, but is it a fight we really want to see? Personaly, I think Hatton would bust up ol' man Gatti and knock him flat.
Give him a big fight and Hatton easily draws 25,000 plus - not many other fighters can do that these days. Frank has the money if he wants it - he brought Tyson over twice, and that would've taken some serious wedge.
But Hatton should really go over to face Tszyu wherever the champ wants.
A last stand in Russia maybe?

The thing is that Tszyu ain't even a really big draw, so for that reason I am coming around to the idea that the fight can be made, provided that Tszyu is offered the right money, which is the key point.
Kostya may be a big deal to us lot, but the average sports fan hasn't a fornicating clue who he is.
Tszyu v Mayweather could be a lot like Pacquaio v Marquez, great fight, but not one which gets the man on the street excited, you'd be surprised how few people knew about the fight or who either man was.
Whilst in principle I believe Hatton should go to him, it's all about economics, and the more I think of it could just happen. I know I've spent ages saying it wouldn't, but that's mainly due to Tszyu's apparent unwillingness, his comments lately seem to indicate that he is at least thinking about it.
Gatti and Mayweather may fight one another, and perhaps just perhaps Ricky gets a shot.
Then again of course, Tszyu may just go on up to welter. Depends on whether he wants a payday right now.

Brittish fighters always have to go the hard route. They become number one contenders and never get the shot at the title. Eastman/Hatton a few!
How do fighters outside the US become big name fighters if they never get a shot. Thank god you all thought Danny Williams was a bum and he wouldnt stand a chance against tyson!
Eastman wins on points against Hoppkins.
Hatton takes out Kostya.
Williams becomes Heavyweight Champion
Then i want the American fighters to beg the Brittish fighters for a shot at the title!
We can say no who the hell are you!
ABA, as much as I admire patriotism I think the above predictions are taking wishful thinking to an extreme...
Eastman has not fought in Hopkins league and could not cope with BH in pretty much every department. Hatton would have to fight the fight of his life to have a chance of stopping Tszyu and there is a chance (if it ever happens) As for Danny beating Klitch...I'm sorry but Danny will get taken out early and in painful fashion. Cannot see that going any other way.
Commendable win over Tyson but Klitchko is at the top of his game and won't crumble like Mike did.
Not trying to quash your views but just think you are a huge optimist..

The most likely of those is the latter.
As for Vitali being at the top of his game, his three most recent performances have been against woefully out of shape opponents, so let's not get too carried away proclaiming Vitali as the man. Lewis was 37 and overweight and undermotivated, and swang like a novice amateur for the first 3 rounds. Johnson looked like Jabba the hut and had enough condition to swing to the rafter for 2 rounds, Sanders was 38, hadn't fought in a year, and had man tits, and was battering Vitali in the 1st round.
Danny is fitter and more motivated than any of the above.

I can't believe Danny is heavier than Vitali though being taller.

Man he wants to punish Danny for destroying his Tyson dream. Even if he did get to fight Tyson it wouldn't last long. He has good dertermination though plus he's got Lennox and Evander backing him up.

Sorry to split hairs but hadn't Sanders fought Vlad previously and knocked him sparko. In the fiirst rounds yes he landed some good shots but was hardly battering Vitali..
How you can say Danny is fitter than Vitali...have you actually seen Danny blowing like a hot air balloon after about 4 rounds....
His conditioning has always been poor and as for his motivation...he is claiming to have re-descovered himself after beating a completly washed up Tyson. Sorry but apart from that he has not fought at nearly world level and when he did he was layed out by Sam.
I know it is tempting to get carried away with Dannys win but please have some perspective...

He deserves it alot more than Jesse James did.
Yes and N, certainly Hatton has done more than Jesse James when he fought Tszyu, but Jesse James is getting another shot and I think this time it is most deserving (after his win over Bojado).
Gatti is getting slated for being "over hyped" and protected and yes, Ward, Dorin and Branco all had weakness. However, Leijla is deserving.
This Gatti is "over rated" line is starting to become the norm, eventually its going to make him underated.

Jedi there are few if any other heavyweights out there who can put the amount of sustained power punches together that Williams can. Imagine those 8 guys on this weekends show trying to pull off that kind of assault?
There are lots of things to question about Danny Williams but his natural fitness level is not one of them.

Eastman beating Hopkins and Hatton beating Zoo are both just as unlikely as Williams beating Klitschko. (Very unlikely)
People will realise exactly how poor Williams is after this fight. Everyone talking about how he's finally realised his potential but he's always been piss poor in my opinion. Well, maybe piss poor is an overstatement, but what has he done? Lose to Julius Frances and Michael Sprott, not to mention Samil freakin Sam. He beats an out of shape and shot Tyson who couldn't do more than 3 rounds and clearly twisted his knee in the first and now people are swinging from his nuts. (British people). It's hilarious. Williams has not got a chance in hell against Vitali. No chance.

Kilburn, I have to beg to differ again. I've seen Danny live and I was carefully watching his breathing, movement and handspeed which all dramatically deteriorated as the fight went on.
He can be deceiving with his slow thoughtful style but he actually does very little in the second half of the fight and has been exposed because of this.
For instance in the first Sprott fight I watched him continually cheat when Sprott landed shots which was (I beleive) an act of frustration when Micheal showed better conditioning. Remember Danny is only 6' 1' and IMO 265 is way too heavy for a man of that size.

i dont get it. I thought he "drew" 30,000 for his fight against Leijia. Now, that was in Australia. Maybe hes not a draw in America, but hes definitly a draw in his adopted country. I mean, why would he go to england, when he could pull that many in, in australia?

I think he was saying Williams is fitter and more motivated than any of Kiltschkos last 3 opponents which is true. Williams will be in better shape than Fat Elvis Sanders and Blubber Johnson.

When Danny Williams steps in the ring against Klitschko I find it highly unlikely that we're going to see the bored, under-motivated version that you saw against Michael Sprott.
I'd actually be tempted to give Williams more of a chance against Vitali in Las Vegas than I would Matt Skelton at York Hall.

There where 45000 people at Melbourne to watch Tszyu Vs Lieja so who is a bigger draw, Also Tszyu got 4 Mill US from PayPerview so i don't think he needs Hatton to make money. The fact is that Hatton wouldn't fight him anyway.

Personally i'm sick to death of hearing about Hatton and Warren bleating about carreer defining fights and fights with Zoo,
He did'nt want Mitchell
He gave up his ranking rather than fight Harris . There is no way will Zoo take a cut to go to Manchester , Even if they wanted it which they won't
Like Ben Says 40.000 plus he could draw to fight Hatton in Melbourne or Sydney, he could pocket the ppv and american tv money all in all it would generate more money in Australia than Manchester.
Thre is no other fight in the world that could generate , more money in Australia than this one .
Zoo has gone on record has saying he wants the money fights now and if there not big paydays he won't take them ,. Belieive me when your dealing with Zoo your not dealing with a nitwit ,Zoo knows his value he knows excatly what he's worth and above all he loves his money , he's notorious for being a tightfisted git who believes anything he has to pay is too much and anything he earns is not enough. Christ half his corner don't get paid they just want to be part of the action.
Hatton and Zoo just ain't never gonna happen cos Warren has his perfect excuse , the worlds best boxer won't defend in Manchester for shit money.
But the good thing is at the moment Hatton really has no where to go , he can beat up Oliveria after that he really does have to fight Gatti , Maywether, Ndou , Mitchell or Harris cos he's run out of easy fights.
Maybee Witter better start training hard cos in all honesty the only 50-50 fights I see for Hatton is Witter or Ndou.
The time to stand up is coming closer can't wait.

Sorry, should have qualified that. Tszyu isn't a massive draw in the states. I didn't know he drew that big a crowd in Melbourne, that's very impressive if that's the case.
Actually, didn't realise just how many fights he has had in OZ. However, they must have problems selling PPV though with the time zone differential. The East coast would be 6 hours off or so.
Tszyu hasn't been in that many big money fights however, not to my knowledge - anyone know what the purses were for his fight against Mitchell, can't remember seeing them.
My point was that Danny is fitter than any of Vitali's last three opponents. When he has been with Jim McDonnell, Danny's fitness hasn't been a problem. He certainly didn't look out of puff against Tyson when throwing lots of heavy shots.
I am not saying he will beat Vitali, but I give him a better chance than most here do.
As for Sanders beating Vlad, that said more about how poor Vlad is than anything else. He's seriously flawed as a fighter, and always was, Vitali is also flawed, but unlike Wlad has an exemplary chin and mental toughness which overcomes a lot of his flaws.
Yes Tyson was way past his best, but even a past it Tyson hits very hard for 2-3 rounds and Danny showed a lot of tenacity to keep coming.
